I can’t believe it’s over!

One guy chasing the affections of another is so standard but this show does it in such a soft and meaningful way that it can’t help but renew my faith in love. Duang remains respectful and careful of Qin’s boundaries the entire journey. I dread the miscommunication trope but this show doesn’t drag it on and on to the point of pulling out my hair. I don’t know what I’ll do with my Saturdays not that it’s over. My only complaint is that we didn’t get TongPae and I was desperate for more JamieMarvis.

This story brought me back to life

Lmaoooo, I’m not the type of person to write these kinds of reviews, but I just wanted to say how talented they are, even though this is their first main series. I genuinely loved everything about it, and honestly, coming from someone who literally stopped being a fan girl of Thai BL pairs and series for two years, they truly brought me back to the Thai BL industry. You would never catch me supporting a pair like this before, and that just shows how peak this series is. I keep giggling, kicking, squealing, and rolling around my bed every time a new episode drops, and the anticipation for Saturdays during the weekdays will never be replaced by any other series. I hope they keep it up because they’re genuinely such talented actors. I really thought I wouldn’t like this series, but I still decided to give it a try, and luckily, I did. They also pretty much followed the novel, except for some parts, and honestly, I’ve never seen such a good adaptation of a novel. It’s like they embodied the characters from the novel in real life. This series is actually so cute, meaningful, and funny, and it explores a more realistic side of a relationship, which I love. Also, I don’t know why everyone thought making Tiw Qin’s first love was bad, but personally, I kind of like it since they always say that “first love just hits different.” Honestly, I think most people wanted Duang to be Qin’s first love, but in my opinion, your greatest love doesn’t have to be your first love.
I hope they get more series as time goes on, and I would love to see their continued improvement. ✨

BEST OF THE BEST!!!

Honestly, I’m not really into BL, but this series completely caught me off guard and pulled me in so hard. I didn’t expect to get this invested, yet here I am, totally obsessed with the characters, their chemistry, and the story itself. It even pushed me to write a review for the first time ever, which says a lot about how much I enjoyed it. Definitely something I didn’t see coming, but I’m so glad I gave it a chance.

Just a simple, uncomplicated story that made me happy

This is my first ever review on MDL. I'm not very good with words but I've been watching BL since 2008 and I can say with confidence that this series was a breath of fresh air.. was the story basic?yes. But that is what made it special. It simple, adorable and entertaining. As a neurodivergent person it's nice to see a character similar to me being loved so much. Some might think it's cringy and annoying, maybe it is and that's fine. If you are the woke type who wants mature and thought inducing series, DWY is not for you. If you just wanna feel happy and content 10/10 would recommend.

Slow start, but totally worth it in the end!

Storyline:
At the beginning, Duang With You was super slow, to the point I got sleepy and almost dropped the series. But since I pushed myself to continue, I started to feel like the plot actually became interesting starting from episode 5 and kept getting better after that. It’s honestly such a waste for people who dropped it within the first 3 episodes, because that’s when the story hasn’t even properly built up yet!

Chemistry:
The chemistry between Duang and Qin is actually really good. At first, I didn’t have any expectations for this couple, but all the NC scenes in this series were so well done and felt very natural , it literally left me speechless. One thing I didn’t really like though is how Qin’s character was portrayed as too stiff and “cold,” so we don’t really get to see his sweet or romantic side.

Acting:
Honestly, I really love and super amazed by Duang’s actor (Teetee). He can switch between being cute, annoying, and serious throughout the series — it’s impressive! As for Qin, his acting is okay, but there are some parts where he feels a bit “forced,” especially during emotional scenes. But I'm sure it will be improve in future project.

Things I liked about this series:

1. Supportive parents
2. Supportive friends
3. High-quality production

Things I didn’t like / could be improved:

1. Duang’s character can be a bit too over-the-top and childish in certain scenes, especially in the early episodes. Sometimes it made me wonder, “Is this a romance about kids or university students?”
2. Sorry to say this, but I’m not really into the second couple, JamieMarvis. Not sure if it’s because of the cringe dialogue or something else, but their chemistry just doesn’t hit for me.

Lastly, is Duang With You worth rewatching?
For me, the answer is yes 👍

My hope is we will see more of Porteeteepor project in future!

My final ratings: 8.0/10.

Best Slice-of-life BL of 2026

I can't even begin to explain how dear this show is to me. I'm still thinking about it daily after finishing it last week.
The plot is simple, but execution is excellent.

What I absolutely love about DWY is how intentional they are with every detail, such as music and styling choices.
For example, as they move in together and share wardrobes, Duang is gradually seen with darker and tight-fitting clothes that are chosen by Qin). Additionally, each OST plays a part in the storytelling & they're actually GOOD songs! (+ of course have to mention the cute sound effects throughout the series).

The best part is surely the chemistry between the actors. Teetee and Por are so natural as Duang and Qin that they totally made their characters come to life, it was hard for me to say goodbye after the Final EP. They made me realize how casual touches & displays of affection have been missing in most BLs. It was so natural and genuine in this show!
Teetee did amazing as a character many might find "childish" or over-the-top. That is however what I find most endearing about Duang, as he maintains his whimsy while still being mature in serious situations & helping Qin through every obstacle.
Por did a great job as well, since it might've been difficult to portray Qin's character without talking or physically expressing his feelings as much. Loved the confrontation with his parents in EP 11, well done and makes me cry every time without fail. Though I do think Por's emotional scenes could be a bit more realistic but it was still fine.
As most of the cast is new, I would say they did a good job and have time to improve in the future!

I have one critique about JamieMarvis storyline, as it wasn't properly developed. It's understandable as they are side characters, but some things could have been easily improved, e.g. how we don't even know why they randomly speak English at times – I only found out from novel readers that Marvis is Thai-Korean, so this wouldn't be clear to series viewers who don't read it. They also tend to avoid intimate/kiss scenes for new couples but in this case I believe it would have fit the plot. Kind of unnatural how they started off being casual without us really seeing anything between them?

All in all, DWY will stay in my mind for a while and I am dreading the waiting time for another PTTP show.
Props to the whole cast and crew. If DMD keeps this up, they will definitely be on the forefront of Thai BL production.

This isn’t just a BL, it’s an emotional experience❤️

I honestly have so much to say about this series, and yet I somehow find myself out of words to describe just how beautiful it is 😭❤️‍🩹

Yes, everyone talks about how cute Duang is, how he’s the ultimate green forest and I completely agree. But this series is so much more than just that.

💔 The Emotional Depth:
Episode 11… it hit way too close to home. And I realized it wasn’t just me, so many people felt that scene deeply. That’s how real and raw the emotions were portrayed.

When Duang says, “a hug is all it takes,” it genuinely broke something inside. Because sometimes, being held matters more than any words ever could.

And Qin saying, “I can’t take it anymore” that moment carried so much weight. It quietly reminds you that unless you speak up, even the people who love you won’t know when you’re breaking. Duang was always there, watching, caring… but the moment Qin said those words, he didn’t hesitate, he ran and held him.

Sometimes, asking for help is all it takes for someone to come running for you 💚

Then that scene where Qin has to let go of his child self… it shattered me.

So many of us carry childhood wounds, and letting go of that version of ourselves is never easy. The way they showed it - everything pausing, his younger self holding his hand, crying… and then slowly letting go to hold Duang’s hand, it was heartbreakingly beautiful 🤌😭💔

I cried so much watching that scene. It felt too real.

Another thing I absolutely adored was Duang and Jamie’s friendship. That kind of constant support; no matter the time, no matter the problem is rare and precious. Jamie being there for Duang through everything was such a pure depiction of true friendship ❤️

And what this series shows so well is that one person doesn’t have to be your entire world.

For Qin, Duang was everything - his comfort, his safe space, his protector.
But for Duang, his world was beautifully balanced: he had his Family who support and encourage him for anything and everything he wanted to do, his greatest friends to cheer so loud for him that Duang didn't hear any of his haters and of course, the love of his life Qin, to take care of him, to tell him "he's great in his own unique ways".

I believe everyone deserves a “Duang” in their life, not necessarily as their fean, but as someone. A sibling, a friend, a parent, anyone… someone who holds you when you can’t take it anymore, someone who reminds you that you matter.

And maybe, this series gently teaches us to also be that person for someone else.

⭐ Final Verdict:
This isn’t just a BL, it’s an emotional experience. A soft, healing, and deeply relatable story that stays with you.

I would genuinely recommend everyone to watch it at least once.
This masterpiece truly deserves it ❤️❤️

Cuteness,shallowness and annoyance

I was so hyped in the beginning, but it all felt like a waste of time in the end.
It's a cringe and "cute" drama without any sense of logic or realism, i've noticed it in the first episode ,and didn't mind it at all(that was a mistake). However , as you watch , it progressively becomes harder to endure shallow and cringey scenes, i was so annoyed at the last episode that i wasn't able to watch it entirely. During the whole series , a lot of thoughts were popping in my head like:
- Why exactly did Duang like Qin?
- Qin's trauma is such a pampered annoying rich kid trauma.
- Duang changed absolutely nothing with Qin.
- What a boring couple .

I was really into this Series in the first episodes, but it was long hours of nothing , just a weird cuteness between the main chatacters and a badly developed side couple. Most of the dialogue doesn't feel natural and the acting had so much ups and downs. It was really a waste of time watching this.
Despite it all, it's not a bad Drama... but i regret watching it.

duang is always with you not the best but still good. ❤️

i love this 😩very much and acting.. o my god..For the romantics, for those who enjoy a decent story (if a bit odd), for those who appreciate a twist or two during the recounting of events, this is quite a nice experience. You may have to watch the ending twice to get the all-too-quick plot twist, but it's easy enough to hit replay. All in all, worth watching.First love and young romance
Persistence and sincerity in pursuing love
Overcoming initial differences and insecurities
The sweet and sometimes humorous journey of falling in love.

WATCH THE UNCUT VERSION AND FINISH ALL 12 EPISODES

Please stop rating this beautiful BL after only watching the cut version on YouTube or just 2–3 episodes. The 2 episodes will tell you NOTHING. In other words: Stop judging a book by its cover.
Finish all 12 episodes in the uncut version, and then come back and share your opinion.

If you’re going to watch the Cut version, don’t expect any NC scenes or other important moments that help you understand the characters better.
If you want to watch the Uncut version, please watch the show on IQIYI or another platform. Tip: Find out where else you can watch it.

Of course, I recommend you the uncut version after watching Duang With You MANY times. Otherwise, like I said, you’ll miss a lot of important scenes and you‘ll be confused.

Thank you for understanding. ❤️

DWY is a BL Gem

There's nothing different that I'll say here that hasn't already been said. Duang With You is the perfectly BL series that has the right mix of quite literally everything. There was a time that I could not wait until the next Saturday to watch. Something as simplistic as a uni love story shouldn't have brought me this much joy, but it did.

Let's Dive In.

TeeTee and Por were born for these roles. It's very rare that I conclude that only a certain pair of actors could plays certain roles, but it is so true in DWY. Teetee plays the perfectly hyper-bubbly neurodivergent lover Duang, and Por as his stoic, black-cat opposite. This is my type of dynamic to a T. Extroverted "seme" and introvert "uke". Oh, how I loved it so much.

There's nothing much to gripe about when it comes to DuangQin. Everything is stellar. The intimate scenes are stellar. This series took the time to have a real open and honest conversation about sex, and it was fantastic.

My slight nit-pick is the side couple and the god-awful English that they had no need to speak. We also receive a good amount of screen-time with them, but barely-there development.

Ratings:

Story: 9/10 - spectacular. small gripes here and there, but great.

Acting: 8.5/10 - TeeTee stole the show. He did an absolutely wonderful job. Por, with his character's personality, fell slightly short, but I still enjoyed his performance, nonetheless.

Music: 7/10 - Skipped all the dancing and singing. Sorry.

Recommendation Value: 8.5/10 - this is the perfect starter BL for those getting into the genre, but also, it was just so good.
