Takes forever to get to the dame point
Drama is long and so many unnecessary things. Just get to the dame point already. Takes forever for them to explain their feelings. Each episode could had been shorter or at least remove unnecessary scene to add in the necessary scene. Now it gonna take longer to finish the drama bc it won’t get to the main point of the story. Was this review helpful to you?
The ingredients were there — it just never came together for me
Years of unrequited feelings, one last attempt to get over them, a week of fake dating to force the issue — on paper, that's a setup I should have responded to. And I went in genuinely wanting it to work.It didn't, at least not for me. The chemistry between the leads never quite built into something I could feel, and the intimate scenes didn't land either. I followed the story without being pulled into it, and by the end I was already halfway to forgetting it. That particular kind of forgettable is hard to pinpoint — nothing went dramatically wrong, it just never sparked.
There are people who will connect with this more than I did, and I don't think it's a bad show. It's just one of those where my personal experience was mostly indifference, which is its own kind of disappointment when the premise had real potential.

Dear Writers please don't write anymore
My God ,im sorry of being a bit rude, but i had to write a review, if you really have nothing to write just don't, instead of producing things like this .The serie is empty, boring ,have no line to follow nothing. Is just literally a empty story to follow til the last episode when a word i like you is said, like it have to change the universe.
The acting is mediocre, because of the empty silence in between conversations and the dead stare of Actors, and i don't think the actors themselves are bad ,the direction they are given make it unbearable to watch.

everyone needs a good smack
by episode 6, all I wanted was for someone to just stop. I love a good angst, but there was none. instead there was just one character, Ba U, who was wishy washy and too scared to have any faith in his so called best friend Hun. He proceeded to consistently gaslight Hun.by the end I just wanted Hun to say **** this and walk away. sadly he didn't. fast forwarded my way through the last two episodes. would suggest watching that terrible Tuxedo or Unforgotten Night multiple times instead of this.

Something is Wrong Indeed.
Maybe I liked this accurately named short drama (which I will admit, is good for a watch and discard type) because it was obviously never meant to be as serious compared to the likes of Blueming or Semantic Error. I did not expect anything out of it, considering that the team probably had a very tight budget as they seemed to have shot every single scene either with the lighting effect of the burning sun or bright streetlights at night.• Cast: Was quite good. They portrayed what they had been given. Which makes me think about the characters...
• Characters: I know that more than half of the people who watched this drama are cursing Do Ba Woo, as the entire story is told from his perspective. But, the character whom I just did not understand till the very end is Ji Hoon. It is blatantly obvious that the script was written solely for Do Ba Woo. Every single scene with Ji Hoon did not convince me even once that he had had any feelings for Ba Woo.
Somebody should've banned Ji Hoon from using the word 'like' because he took it in a literal sense, whatever the case. Yes, it is sort of explained that he was far too scared to reveal his emotions, but writing the entire story from the point of view of one character and attempting to convince viewers about the other in the last couple of minutes just did not sit well with me.
Do Ba Woo might come off as a selfish individual immersed in his own feelings, but how was he to go after a friend who -- 1. Did not take his confessions seriously. 2. Heavily implied that they were friends multiple times.
Ba Woo was a serious loner and Ji Hoon was always the kind of person who seems to easily attract friends. (Look at his bandmates! By the way, they were another favorite part of the story for me.)
Ji Hoon makes Kakeru from Kimi Ni Wa Todakanai look like Einstein when it comes to verbal communication.
Ha Min was the impetus that sets the boat sailing. He deeply regretted it, but I was far more satisfied with how he grew up by the end of show.
• Script: Weak as wet paper. They should've speed run the last three episodes and focused on important moments -- such as Ji Hoon's character and reactions. Heck, even the last scene seems to be a re-imagination of what would've happened if Ji Hoon fearlessly communicated his feelings back then.
• Music: The songs were okay. But, I think this is the first time I ever felt that the background instrumentals failed to properly convey the urgency of the scenes. It was the same multiple times.
• Final Thoughts: It's not terrible, but the script was undoubtably a failure. So, I suggest you close your eyes and attempt to understand the characters and dive in to decide on your own whether something is very wrong.

Disappointed...it's so badly written
The story is interesting but badly executed. My favorite thing in this drama is Ji Hun's friends; they are hilarious, and I love Ji Hun's character; he always makes me smile. He is so cute. On the other hand, Do Ba U is getting on my nerves, especially toward episode 7. To be honest, the writing is bad. The ending of episode 7 had my blood boiling, as did episode 8, because after all the fuss he made, he suddenly changed his mind. Waste of time. Was this review helpful to you?

The risk of losing a friendship
Having been in a friends-to-lovers situation, I get why neither of them wanted to risk losing their friendship once their feelings started to change. Ji Hoon witnessed what their close girl friend went through when she confessed and lost her friendship with Ba Woo, and he didn't want that. He was happy to remain by his side as a friend, as long as they could be together. And Ba Woo kept his own feelings inside until he could no longer do so. His confession was not heard though, because "I like you" is something friends say to one another. It didn't let let a dense and clueless Ji Hoon know that it was a different kind of "like."I was commiserating with the characters' feelings of being misunderstood, because that's how it felt when I was in my late teens and my early 20s. I was still learning how to communicate my very large feelings to a guy whose personality was very different from mine. We met the first week of university and were in the same friend group. Although I didn't spend all my time with them, I enjoyed being with them as time allowed. My guy and I started dating after knowing each 3-1/2 years; we've been together over 36 years now.
What I liked:
* The 3 main leads' acting.
* Ha Min was an interesting character and conflicted once his own feelings started to change.
* GL representation
* OST
What could've been changed: I wouldn't have minded if they had it one episode shorter and resolved the misunderstanding sooner.

Aaaargh...
So, this has way too many misunderstandings! So much so that fewer episodes would have been better. I am not hating here; it's my frustration speaking! On the other hand, the acting and music made it better! Shout out to the actors for making this work!!!P.S. I wish Ha Min would get a happy ending; he truly deserves it!

Gave it an 8.5 at first but after seeing popular opinion I had to give it a 9.5
I love my friends to lovers trope so much and the main reason is the angst involved whenever you fall for a friend.Ji Hoon and Do Bawoo both fell for their best friend and one couldn't confess properly for fear of losing the friendship and the other tried but wasn't taken seriously. See the dilemma here.
So it is only natural for miscommunication to happen more so when you're repressing or hiding feelings and let's be honest you don't get enough plot without this very important plot device.
Jung Hamin played his role so well that I'm sure all of the viewers at one point rooted for him even if they got back to their original ships (I know I did )
The only thing I would complain about is how short the epilogue was and nothing on the main couple, they showed only side couples. The main couples only got a dream sequence ending. I would've loved to see the dynamic change between the leads after they finally started dating.
I can also imagine how exhausting it must have been to wait for the episodes weekly because the plot progress is kinda slow, I am so glad I binged.
To conclude, loved it and I would a one hundred percent recommend it.

miscommunication in the BIG 2025
well I HATED this… it started so good and although it was a reused story (best friends=unrequited love) it went downhill as soon as the big problem (miscommunication) started repeating itself over and over and over again. The fact that everything could’ve been avoided if they just TALKED. The miscommunication trope is honestly another way of lazy writing and in here, it seems like it’s the only thing that kept the story going.
Also, the main character Do Wabu is so painfully annoying, I just wanted him to end up alone. Like wdym you get angry when he doesn’t understand your feelings but at the same you don’t care to explain them?????
Idk you can judge by yourself but expect lots and lots of stress while watching.
P.D: the clumsy one liking do wabu first doesn’t make any sense and it honestly felt like a punch in the face lol

They can do better!!
The ending felt pointless, and the kiss scene in episode 7 didn’t suit university students at all. If the story had been framed as a high school drama instead, it would have been more believable if they were young characters still figuring out their emotions and thoughts. That way, the progression of their relationship would have felt more natural and understandable. The constant miscommunication was frustrating. Why is it such a struggle to confess feelings to a friend? Both characters failed to speak up when it mattered most, making the whole situation unnecessarily dragged out. This type of plot feels outdated and if they insist on using it, they need to execute it well or at least give us a satisfying ending!

9/10 Something's Not Right... and it's the script.
9/10 Something's Not Right... and it's the script.Listen. I came in with high hopes. The leads? STUNNING.
Visuals?? Off the charts. The potential?? Immaculate. Black cat x golden retriever dynamic?? Inject it directly into my veins. I wanted to love this. I really did.
But sadly... something truly was not right
We had Ba Woo, a precious golden retriever man who was yearning, crying, and projecting emotions like a side character in a Shakespearean tragedy-and Jee Hoon, a man so emotionally repressed he made Mr. Darcy look like a talk show host. The chemistry was there but the storytelling said
"nah."
Instead of giving us a slow-burn romance with healing and mutual understanding, we got a confusing mess of miscommunication, deadpan reactions, and emotional whiplash. Every time a moment built up, the next scene undercut it. It was like watching two gorgeous men circle each other in a fog of unresolved trauma and half-written dialogue.
This show could've been the blueprint for "friends to lovers with longing stares and tearful confessions." Instead, it gave
"Pinterest moodboard with zero substance."
I stayed for the pretty faces. I left with a migraine and a sense of what could've been.
