Kill to Love

紫陌红尘 ‧ Drama ‧ 2025
These two stories could not be more different in plot, but are similar in the aspect of two soul mates merging into a complex dynamic. In both stories, our leads are forced to overcome the heart breaking consequences forged by their own choices, and perceptions. Neither ever truly able to let go of the other, despite how far apart life rips them. Despite knowing one has to walk away, while the other clings ardently, unwilling to accept that fate. In the end of both tales, both leads acknowledge the depth of their love, and find sanctuary in it.

Kill to Love and The Untamed share the same director.

While The Untamed isn't directly BL due to the restrictions imposed within China, it does the best it can to show the relationship between Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian is a romantic one. Kill to Love on the otherhand aired in Singapore and managed to weave around the restrictions, allowing it to air even as a true BL show without any censorship.

Both The Untamed and Kill to Love ae based on danmei webnovels.

If you loved Kill to Love for its intense chemistry, fiery attraction, emotional conflict, and the complicated push-and-pull between the leads, you should definitely give Double Helix a try.

Both have relationships that go far beyond a simple, easy romance. The leads are drawn into a powerful connection that brings out vulnerability, tension, strong emotions, and an attachment that becomes increasingly difficult to ignore. The chemistry between the characters is a huge part of the experience, but it’s the emotional complexity of their bond that keeps you invested in what happens next.

If you enjoy BLs with intense romantic tension, complicated feelings, unforgettable chemistry, and a relationship that can completely consume your attention, Double Helix deserves a place on your watchlist. Once these two get under your skin, they’re not leaving anytime soon.

This a recent Bromance drama, with insane Chemistry between the two Main Leads. You definitely shouldn't miss this one.

Both *Journey with You* and *Kill to Love* are anchored in the intense, often volatile "toxic romance" trope where the line between obsession and devotion is dangerously thin. Much like the dark, melodramatic atmosphere found in *Kill to Love*, *Journey with You* features a male protagonist whose love is framed as a consuming, possessive force, often leading to a cycle of deep emotional trauma and eventual "redemption" through suffering. Both narratives rely heavily on high-stakes conflict, power imbalances, and the "forced proximity" dynamic to drive the plot, forcing the female leads to navigate a minefield of manipulation before any semblance of a traditional happy ending is reached.

The protagonists of both series are equally passionate about their partners, in addition to sharing the same historical period and being crazy about love.

Both uncensored, wuxia themed Chinese BL about a royal guy and an assassin.

(myatb used a production company from Thailand but is still Chinese. There are Chinese and Thai dubs for it)

In order to leave the assassin organization The Window of Heaven, the leader Zhou Zi Shu performs an obligatory departure technique, leaving him with three years left to live. He disguises his face and tries to live the remainder of his days as a drunkard wandering the martial arts world.

Three months later, he meets the mysterious Wen Ke Xing, who immediately notices Zhou Zi Shu’s façade. The two then grow closer when they get entangled in a conspiracy regarding the Glazed Armor, a protected legendary key to a powerful armory.

Love stories where the characters are torn apart by circumstances, and the behaviours and actions of one leads to tragedy for the one they love most.

Although Good Bye, My Princess has many more episodes to develop and evolve its plot compared to Kill to Love, there remain instances in Kill to Love that deliver the same heartache and pain. You can find yourself both wishing the best for the pairing while also hoping one of them finds better for themselves than how the other treats them at times, and both stories are written well. They'll likely both manage to leave you feeling empty afterwards, as well as remaining in your thoughts long after watching.

Both *Mysterious Lotus Casebook* and *Kill to Love* blend suspense with martial arts elements. They feature intricate plots, intense action, and complex characters dealing with deep personal motivations, moral dilemmas, and the consequences of their past actions. Each story navigates power struggles within a world of hidden agendas, while exploring themes like justice, revenge, and redemption. The protagonists in both are skilled, yet emotionally conflicted, often questioning their choices and confronting dangerous enemies.
