Dangerous Queen: An Impressive Debut, Growing Pains and All
Dangerous Queen was a genuinely impressive watch. There were a few extra subplots that occasionally pulled focus from the central couple, but honestly, that's a minor quibble against what is an incredible achievement from 24 year old Nur, who not only stars as Babe but is also CEO of S.Nur Entertainment, the studio behind Dangerous Queen. For a first outing from such a young creative, this is nothing short of remarkable, and she deserves real praise for pulling it off.The chemistry between TKNur is completely undeniable, and it's easily one of the show's biggest strengths. The visuals are superb too, with Queen and Babe each given such distinctive, well considered looks that you can feel the care the stylist put into every frame. Queen in particular stands out. TK, only 22 and a newcomer at the time, took on a dominant, aura heavy character built almost entirely on presence rather than dialogue, a "actions speak louder than words" type role, and she delivered on it beautifully, which is genuinely impressive for a first major role.
Nur choosing to put herself in the uke role says a lot about how deeply she understood the material and exactly what she wanted Queen to be. Plenty of people in her position, with the freedom to choose either role, would have gravitated toward the seme part. Nur set ego aside and made the choice that best served the story, which speaks to real creative maturity.
The show could have tightened up some of the extra plotting to give the main couple's love story even more room to fully land, and a few editing and direction choices could have been sharper, but these are the kind of growing pains you'd expect from a first project, not dealbreakers. If anything, they make what Nur accomplished here even more impressive. I'm genuinely excited for her next Dangerous Queen project, and it's clear from this first outing that she's already taken the feedback on board and is developing what promises to be an even stronger second instalment.

It was bad but fun to watch
So, how can I explain that the series is watchable? I'm not going to say too many negative things about it, because I watched it for 10 weeks without getting too angry. So, there you go, but the series lacks depth and meaning, lol. Also, I would have liked to learn more about Queen's character. However, I did laugh a lot.Was this review helpful to you?
Good story, just rushed
I genuinely liked the storyline and it has potential. My main issue is it just felt rushed. I think they should have expanded this series so it wouldn’t feel like so much was going on at once. It would have been nice if the show went deeper about characters backgrounds to have a better understanding of their dynamics especially with the families and the two leads. Everything just felt surface leveled. There was no build up to most things, they just threw it in your face. Because of this, at some points it was hard to understand what was going on.Was this review helpful to you?

not horrible not great
The story itself is very dramatic and teeters on the edge of unrealistic, but some dramas are intentionally over the top to draw you in and keep you hooked, so I’ll let it slide by. The acting from the two FLs isn’t great, but it’s not horrible either. There are a lot of blank stares where dialogue could’ve been inserted instead because the looks don’t convey much to me. In ep5 there’s a bout of push and pull that doesn’t last very long, and I’m not even sure when the issue was resolved or how it was resolved so quickly in order for them to accept that they like each other.I think there’s a way to do “dark romance” but I’m not sure these two pull it off well. Instead of Queen’s actions coming off as domineering or attractive, she just seems stiff. And the other girl is so meagre that it’s annoying instead of endearing, especially when she seems fully capable of putting her foot down at the most irrelevant times. But that is all just my opinion; I have seen a loooot of people loving both their portrayals of the characters, so know that my thoughts aren’t exactly popular.
Overall, I’d say to give this series a try whether you’re interested in the “dark romance” genre or not, because you never know if you might end up liking it!

Exciting :)
I had to add a review, because the one here could unnecessarily discourage viewers. There are certainly no bad acting performances, l've seen worse (My marvelous dream is you), but there is a certain chemistry between the main characters, especially Queen trying to be patient and Bo gradually falling for her, even though everything is working against them, especially relatives and the intrigues of rivals, the relationship between them gradually develops.The direction is excellent, exciting and engaging, so l definitely recommend watching. :)

Queen Kiraphat é de fato uma Queen ?
A história é muito boa, foi diferenciado em tudo que já assisti em GL, a Queen batendo de frente com a mãe pq a mãe da Queen não aceitava que a filha estivesse se apaixonado por alguém como a Bonita. Foi lindo ver a Queen peitar a mãe, a melhor personagem de TODAS, sem medo de pai e mãe, sem medo de "inimigo" sem medo de demostrar que tava interessada na Bo mesmo ela não admitindo, dava pra ler no rosto e na preocupação mesmo que ela tentasse camuflar ela tava totalmente redinha. A Diretora de Produção, vulgo Nur Desoraya foi totalmente fiel ao novel e isso me deixou de coração quietinho, houve umas mudanças sim, mas não murchou a história em nenhum momento, só deixou mais interessante de acompanha, a química das personagens (TK e Nur) são de outro mundo, tô muito animada pro especial, pois eu confio na Nur e na Tangkwa pra entregarem mais um banquete maravilhoso prós fãs.Was this review helpful to you?

Non sempre la sceneggiatura e la regia riesce a reggere la potenza dei temi trattati, perdendosi in dialoghi mediocri e banali e in inquadrature e stacchi strani. E´ chiara l'inesperienza della crew, ma dall´altra parte ci sono momenti alti, soprattutto nei lunghi momenti di sguardi e silenzi traspare la disperazione e la solitudine provate da entrambe le protagoniste.
L´attrice che interpreta Queen è veramente azzeccata, rappresenta quella dolce prepotenza e magneticita´ che ha fatto impazzire tutti quanti.

Une fin gâchée par une surenchère médiocre
Dangerous Queen était et est condamné à la médiocrité par son scénario et le manque d'émotions à travers le jeu de son cast.Si l'idée de départ n'est pas mauvaise, bien que somme toute classique, avec une riche héritière qui tombe éperdument amoureuse d'une jeune de la classe populaire, tout l'environnement créée vient ruiner le peu potentiel de la série.
Au lieu de se retrouver avec un drama présentant un minimum d'éléments introspectifs, ici tous les facteurs de drama sont des facteurs externes :
- Bua, la mère violente de Bon ;
- L'addiction aux jeux d'argent de la mère de Bon ;
- Kem, son "ami" amoureux d'elle pensant pouvoir acheter une relation ;
- L'entourage peu recommandable de Kem
- Kirin, l'imbuvable et manipulatrice mère control freak de Queen ;
- Le rival politique de Queen.
Cet empilement de facteurs externes (très nombreux), ne laisse quasiment aucune place à l'introspection ou à une approche plus subtil dans le traitement/l'évolution des relations entre personnages. Ici, on est uniquement sur de la réaction, sans aucune réflexion.
Je n'ai rien contre les séries avec empilement de dramas, à condition qu'il y ait la place pour les caser et pour laisser respirer la série. Sans quoi, on se retrouve avec une fin complètement rushée, une résolution des conflits gratuite et insatisfaisante.
Tout ça, sans parler des redflags à répétition, entre la notion de consentement qui passe complètement à la trappe et la fait que le personnage de Bon, une humaine donc, ne soit considérée que comme une marchandise monnayable qu'on peut acheter ou vendre à sa guise.
La romance entre Queen et Bon ne vient même pas sauver la série puisqu'on passe d'une relation quasiment sous la contrainte à une relation amoureuse du jour au lendemain. Puis qui a décidé de mettre une actrice aussi inexpressive que Nur ?
Bref, vous pouvez vous économiser 8 heures de visionnage en ne regardant pas Dangerous Queen, sauf si vous aimez vous faire du mal.
