Age gap romance with sweet & spice. Antagonists had too much screentime
I added this drama to my watchlist months ago but forgot about it until today when a reddit friend mentioned it. So I watched it and it was mostly enjoyable.What I liked:
1. Romance - I liked that they were affectionate with each other. ML was smitten with her and when he saw her a month after their one night stand, he seemed determined to get to know her. FL also was genuinely interested with ML.
2. Main characters - They were likeable & nice people. I like that ML told FL not to be nice to unkind people and she followed suit.
3. Supporting characters - ML's mother was MVP for welcoming FL into their lives with open arms. She was the romantic one in the family.
4. Acting - Good performances by Zheng Cheng Yue & Zhang Xuan. Their chemistry was great.
What I disliked:
1. Antagonists - Jiao Jiao got away with being mean too many times. Her antics were tiresome and glad she received retribution at the end. FL's ex was a scumbag. FL's mom & brother were self-absorbed.
2. Duration - This drama was close to 3 hours. I found the bullying scenes draggy - writer & director should have cut them off. I prefer more scenes of FL & ML romance.

leads' chemistry can't turn a coworker-abuse drama into a slapstick comedy
ML and FL relationship is very sweet. But the plot is mostly about how FL's coworkers/fellow students mercilessly bully her and threaten to/try to kill her and her unborn baby, and you really can't morph that into a slapstick comedy, no matter how sweet the leads are. Also, It's never explained how such a wonderful ML can raise such a HORRIBLE daughter who has such an evil character.Also if you know a whole squad of people is after you trying to hurt you, maybe don't have the ML answer a call and say, "Let me take this call -- you go ahead and 1) go shopping, 2) go to your evil parent's house, 3) go to work, 4) go get a glass of champagne at the event." Maybe you both could make a plan together that doesn't result in her being a sitting duck.

A história infelizmente é bem abusiva como sempre, a filha (adotiva) do ML rouba o 2ML e depois de uma noite de bebedeira, a FL e o ML ficam juntos, ai o óbvio acontece, ela engravida, de gêmeos, e ele a pede em casamento com a ajuda da mãe.Eu gostaria de ter visto mais a FL como profissional, a partir do momento em que ela fica com o ML ela abandona o serviço e só fica em casa e sofrendo na mão da 2FL, 2ML e família de ambos os lados.
O desenvolvimento do relacionamento deles é bom, mas não é bem explorado, mas os beijos em cena são ótimos.
A filha faz o inferno e sai impune, só é expulsa da família.
Ela tem os bebês e a primeira coisa que o ML faz quando ela recebe alta é transar com ela kkkkkk
Os roteiristas não tem noção do resguardo né?
Enfim, o ator Zhang Xuan, em um papel 10 anos mais velho, foi bom de ver. Gosto da atriz Zheng Chen Yu, gostaria de vê-la em dramas mais empoderados.
