Both feature a crime-solving duo made up of an arrogant detective and a reserved psychology professor. They both have a similar love/hate dynamic.

Both have a similar plot where the antagonist is targeting the psychology professor using psychological tactics, resulting in the detective becoming very protective of the professor. Both have very strong bromances.
