Interesting story, great couple

This was a good drama, with decent pacing, an interesting story and even though it is highly episodic (which isn't always my cup of soju) the glue that sticks it all together was really nice. Offering us interesting characters, slight nuance and while it may not be listed as a romance or even have the dag it does have one one of dramalands most adorable romance/couples and family. It also manages to touch some issues as well as burn out and depression in an okay way.

I also enjoyed the way they portrayed the marriage and family, housework, expectation and a man that actually sticks up to hos mom and cares about his family. The fluffy family serves partly as a contrast to the sniper but also as part of her motivation to keep her and everybody else family safe.

Yes there were some annoying and other predictable elements and I did want to book a meeting with the mother in law. But overall I really enjoyed it making me both wanting more, sad to let it go and at times wanting to rate it a 9,5 or a 9 but there are a few things that just couldn't be overlooked and that last episode that many seem to love just felt messy to me dragging down the score to an 8,5.

Reminder (once again): enjoyment is not the same as quality (but still decent)

Hello there. Sorry if I won't go in great details on certain points. Thats because I consider it a decent mid, so there are just a tiny bit of meh, or even nitpicks that I'd like to address.

So. Visuals. Mostly good, with some even amazing shots. But also a bit lacking in certain aspects. Like the fight choreography, where they had to do it in ways that masked the stuntperson's face. Like the stock image of looking through a scope, that shows you the distance (like 100m), which remains the same even when the camera is panning to a person 20m closer. A nitpick, I know. Like the usage of fake snow/snowing. Like usage of fake rain. This one is particularly bad because you get a head shot of ML with heavy "rain", coupled with his emotions at that time (that looks amazing btw), next second it goes to a lateral shot, with a meh "rain", next second goes to a wide/establishing shot, where you can see the full dry road 6 meters away. Granted, its right at the edge of the image, the editor cropped and did the best it could without deleting that shot entirely, but it is there. But also, the next scene starts right after the "rain", with a shot of droplets falling off some branch. So, they really did their best to make it feel real.
Audio. Good sound design. Also great OST, and used just (or at least thats how it felt) at key moments. Personal thing: a bit too much of those stock sfx that k-dramas keep using, the knife, the tiger's roar, dog whimpering, you know, the "ha-ha" stuff.
Editing. At least decent, if not better. Like previously mentioned, the editor tried and did what it could. World-building is a bit meh. Maybe you don't really need the bigger stuff, but still it would've been nice to explain some stuff a little better. The pacing is ... meh/ok-ish I guess. It works for an entertainment watch, but strictly for the story it is not the greatest work. Yeah, you could say it has a high production value and you can see it.

Now the main stuff. Yes, good casting, amazingly good chemistry between different actors, charisma all-around. Great or even amazing acting, from the ones that matter the most. Unfortunately, the support (or almost guest) cast is used only when needed. Nothing about their personal lives, their "talents" are used only once or twice, to make us be curious about them, but thats all.
The story is, more or less, ok. It tried to do too much, from my point of view. A sniper, a family, work, the morality/ethical aspect about if it is good or wrong in what she does, different kids suffering left and right, backstories left and right, and this and that.... If this would've been a simple drama about a sniper handling the everyday, mundane life and thats all there was to it, if would've been a perfectly ok (and better) show. A weekly "I wonder what she'll do next" thing. Whereas with what we got, you need to get invested and pay attention to every little thing. Yes, it is sad what it is happening, all that every day domestic violence that the society won't handle in a better way, but this drma shouldn't have been the one to discuss it.
But anyway. So, a story about a sniper that blah blah blah. Unfortunately, the technical aspects every time there's a scene involving sniping is meh, at best. You can't have her placed near a source of light. It happens almost every time. Or on a roof, without hiding from plain sight. Or not listening to the support at certain plot points. And stuff like that. And I guess thats a nice segue. The script is done in such a way that it practically forces the plot to move in a certain direction. Simple stuff becomes complicated just to introduce drama and/or tension. Like stopping listening to the person with the vital info, so that "misunderstandings" ensue. Or plot contrivances like someone using the phone and dropping plot contrivances out loud. "What? You're going there? With that squad?", the ML hears it, and storms off. And so, the story can end in a very specific way. Basically, all these little things, bit by bit, dropped this drama's rating. I won't go over all of them, there's no need. But I will mention the last episode, that was a disaster. Almost completely. A certain event happens. My first thought was "well, maybe check that place, no? I mean, its pretty obvious". I think all of us would think the same. I was expecting something like a rehash. You know, new but also playing on the old, so a good pay-off. When the story didn't, I thought there was a very good reason as to why and that they will show us something interesting at least. But later, the ML goes "wait a minute, what if..." and I almost punched the screen. Basically it was only for the plot, so that the drama wouldn't end 40 minutes (or whatever) earlier. Plus all the other nonsense. So, yeah, bad. Really bad.
Ok, ff the rest. The romance is ok. Like I said, nice chemistry all around, so it helped a lot. A bit disappointed with a certain couple, too meh and a letdown. The comedy. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it just dragged out too much and it felt cringe.

Thats about it. I'm sure I'm missing a lot, but I'll stop here. It gets a rating of... hmmm... it doesn't feel like a 7, lets go 6,5. The technical aspects were good, but the story was just a bit over the meh/not bad level. The actors did a lot of the heavy-lifting, yet some plot elements we're a bit lacking, plus all those plot threads that muddled a simple and enjoyable story. Re-watching value? No, not really. You might enjoy the drama, but its not THAT good to watch it again. Not even for your favorites. Just watch (or re-watch) them in a better one.

Best of '26

What stands out is how the story telling and character development shift skillfully from serious to comedy and into drama and then thriller. And finishes with a strong romantic flavor.

A new mother must balance her career and her at home duties with a young child and a husband who have no idea what she really does at work. At work the story does not shy away from her job as an expert assassin.

There are so many ways that a story about a wife and mother of a small child who also ruthlessly assassinates people could go wrong, but this one goes very right. An unusual aspect of the series is the emphasis in each episode changes. One might set up the home life while another shows comedic aspects of the team's activities, while others focus on the beginnings of the romance of the lead couple.

It's interesting to compare how different vigilante series justify their actions outside the justice system. Some ignore it or throw so much comedy that the murder and mayhem aren't taken seriously. This one has the main lead explicitly lay out the justification when she explains to a new member of their team why she didn't kill some bad guys that they instead covertly delivered to the police. Her team first allows the justice system to deal with miscreants, and if the system fails, then she and her team step in to provide justice on behalf of society. In other words they're the good guys providing an essential service for the greater good.

Odd that the writer so far has not explained who or what is paying for these contracts.

This unusual series finished strong leaving this viewer wanting more. Hopefully the last scene is a signal that more is coming.

Am I the only one who wanted an entire spin-off for the Weapon & Poison specialists?!

This is another huge surprise of 2026!
I absolutely loved the chemistry between Bona, Taesung, and their baby girl Yul. I don’t know what kind of bonding they did behind the scenes to reach that level of connection, because it was honestly overflowing!
The pacing of this drama was so well-done. The layers of mystery peeled back in a highly satisfying way that managed to be both romantic and thrilling. It was an incredibly nice blend of these two genres.
My only real issue is that I lowkey wanted way more missions with Hyeon Nam (the poison specialist) and Tae Min (the weapon specialist) after seeing how they executed that criminal. I wanted more because they were just so fun together! I know the drama is mostly about Bona, but it’s the show's fault for giving us a taste of such a great duo and then completely discontinuing their arc.
My other complaint is that we were never told who actually finances this organization. Are they worldwide or just operating in specific regions? A story can work while leaving those details out, but I like being in the know when it comes to world-building. Despite those couple of issues, I really enjoyed this series. Highly recommended!

a masterpiece is what this is

dang well what can i say other than this is a pure gold. literally on the edge of my seat in these last few eps. love love loved the family setting and the dynamics in sales team 3. the storytelling, pacing, and acting were all so good ugh i frickin love this drama

production and writing are both so good too like they know how to do a cliffhanger well 😭 after ep 13, i was on my toes and regretted watching it so early loll should’ve just waited until the next day 😭 fr was crashing out

ofc yk i love a strong fl and mama (bona) is killing it (literally and figuratively). i fr was hooked after the first episode. and all the backstories were told so perfectly. i haven’t been this like edge-of-my-seat interested in (specifically a k-)drama in so long like omg this is actually so peak

i hope a season two is in talks cuz there's so many characters and backstories that are still left untold! i'm so curious about the whole team, how they all came to work there, taemin and bona's friendship, mama and seulgi, the how the final talk about bona's time in russia was to taesong, and lowkey (highkey) frickin everyone man ugh I NEED MORE the ending was pretty open to a new season tho so i have high hopes!

i do think the last ep was a tad bit rushed in the sense that the storylines were left pretty open ended but i mean if a season 2 is in the makes then i have no complaints lol

p.s. i also loved lee dong jin's character like that man loves taesong LOL like in a brotherly way ofc but like he would drop everything for taesong and i live for friendships like this ugh he's the #best

SO UNDERRATED

I enjoyed this drama a lot. I feel I could binge all the episodes, but watching it weekly was also better. I found the Bo Na family endearing; her teammates were good; the supporting cast added depth to the drama; and the ending was okay.

I adore Bo Na family; it was clear that they really love each other and were ready to support one another. I liked the backstories and flashbacks, but I especially loved the leads' backstories and how they developed feelings for each other. It was clear that Kwon Tae Song fell for Bo Na at first sight, but I appreciated that he didn't pester her or act all cool in front of her; their love and relationship grew through the support and care they gave each other while they lived alone. Loved how everything was built up to the time when he confessed his love to her. It felt mature and genuine, and the response of Bo Na was likewise mature: "I have never fallen in love, so please treat me well". This was my first time hearing such an answer to a proposal, and I ate it up. They were soooo GOOD, and they served hard.
I felt they were a real couple, not acting, and they had a very natural chemistry with each other. I understand the pain Kwon Tae Song felt when he found out his wife was Kingfisher, but it was really sad watching him ignore her calls, refusing to come to the house/call her, and preventing her from caring for him. The moment when Bo Na told Kwon Tae Song, while he was asleep, that she never liked strawberries, but because she ate them with him, she liked them (a lot). It was really emotional, and I liked how his genuine love for his wife overcame his doubts and concerns, and he gave her a really warm hug.
I have mixed emotions about Bo Na going missing when she found out that Kwon Tae Song knew she was KingFisher. Kwon Tae Song already accepted her identity as KingFisher, so what was the need for her leaving her husband and child? But I felt that she needed a breaking point and time to cool her head, but she never really saw it from her daughter's point of view- how she would feel when she can't see her Mother. I liked the parallel they gave, as her husband found her in the spot where he confessed to her and the way they mended their relationship.
The scene in which Bo Na's daughter goes to the rooftop to call down the helicopter, just so she could go and bring her mother's parents, who are already dead, was emotional and went straight to calling for my heart; the child actor really conveyed a certain amount of tears in me. But the scene was so unrealistic, and I mean everything about it. How did she know to climb up? How could she climb up that fast and not get tired, and why was the door locked?
I was really annoyed with how Bo Na's mother-in-law was unnecessarily harsh with her and always picking on her, trying to find faults, when Bo Na was being as good as she could be. But I'm really glad she came to like Bo Na and supported her when she went missing/went to cool her head.

Never liked Kwon Se A's character when I first saw her; I felt she was too active and energetic, but I guess that's her charm, and when the plot got into her love life, she became interesting to me. While I have a weak spot for Ki Yeong Do, she clearly had better chemistry with Beom Seong Hun, and, to mention, they knew each other from childhood. I'm glad Ki Yeong Do realized early that trying to love her wasn't going to work out, as she had already fallen for her police friend, Seong Hun, and him wishing her luck and ending the relationship amicably was a good closure.

I predicted that Hyeon Nam and Tae Min would end up liking each other, even if the plot didn't show it. It gave us hints; after all, they have an unspoken chemistry. I would have loved to see them in their dating era.

I was actually annoyed with how the investigators went after King Fisher, as if they had no other case going on, but you could entirely see they were doing their work, and I think I was annoyed with them because they were going to catch my BIAS.

I loved that Lee Dong Jin didn't try to seek more after the King Fisher case was closed, as that could break his friendship with Kwon Tae Seong, with the hints he keeps getting. He really values his friendship with Kwon Tae Seong; their friendship was really heartwarming.

I felt the ending was rushed, and the things that occurred were unexpected to me. I really thought they would catch Bo Na as King Fisher, and wondered how the ending would be with her going to prison, but thank God it didn't take that route. I still can't believe Seul Gi, who gave a bad-boy vibe, was actually sent to protect her. Would have loved it if they delved more into her past, but still, they did well with the 12 episodes.

A Decent Thrilling Action Series

I consider this as a sweet and thrilling, kind of balance in action, romance, slight comedy, and family drama. I'm not sure about this series when I saw the 1st episode, but actually it did get better throughout the episodes. And the main plot of "will the husband finally know her real identity?" was what keeping me on the edge of my seat. The teamwork and bond between the sales team 3 is something i love to see, but i wished they explain more about the background of each character, and why each of them decided to join the team. (we mostly only know about Oh Hyun Nam's background only)

And the chemistry is great.. I hope Jung Jun Won will get more good projects after this one, looking forward for his work. I really like his expressive eyes. Like he could convey his emotions without dialogue, and just through his eyes. That needs serious talent i guess.

And for Hyo Jin, i think this is one of her best projects, i'm glad she took this one. Yeah, i'm a long time Hyo Jin's fan who is still wandering in this site, sometimes, from time to time...this project is one is my favorite of hers besides It's Okay That's Love, Master's Sun, and When the Camellia Blooms.

Actually this is not your perfect drama. Especially considering several plot holes, and things seem felt rushed especially in the last 2 episodes. (For example, Lyla was not introduced until the 13th episodes). I'm not hoping for the 2nd season here though. I'm already glad they wrapped up with a decent ending, in my opinion.

Great story that gets better with each episode.

I was pleasantly surprised by this drama. The storyline is great—it's about punishing the bad guys when the law can't do it. Yoo Bo-na is an ordinary office worker and mother who secretly works as a legendary sniper known as "Kingfisher," targeting criminals who slip through the justice system.

I love the family relationship, and the love between Bo-na and her husband Kwon Tae-sung is amazing—they have great chemistry. Their dynamic adds so much tension and heart to the story. Tae-sung is a reporter who has no idea his wife is the assassin he's trying to uncover. I also love her team; they're like a family. Sales Team 3 is full of likeable characters with their own personalities, and they bring so much warmth to the show.

The drama gets better with each episode. I was glued to the screen, and the blend of action, comedy, and family drama kept me invested throughout. And I have to say—it's so unique that the police are actually capable in this drama. This time, I found myself wishing they were useless like they usually are in other shows, because they're just too good at their job here!

Overall, this was a really enjoyable watch. Great cast, great chemistry, and a fresh take on the vigilante justice genre.

Okayyyyyy Kong Hyo Jin!!!! This was my first time watching an action drama with
Kong Hyo Jin being the FL. Excellent acting and skills. I enjoyed this alot and it gave a little romance, thriller, action and even some comedy.
I havent watched much or any dramas with Jung Jun Won but he played his part well and I am glad they didnt make him to be too weak as her husband.
I dont think there should be a season 2, I think this ended well because we already know what the characters will be doing going forward.
If they do come out with a season 2, I would still watch it.
