Fake Wedding, Policeman Husbands and Explosive Chemistry: YinWar Are BACK
YIN AND WAR ARE FINALLY BACK! The irony is that we didn’t get a proper wedding in Jack & Joker, but now we’re getting a fake wedding in this one. It feels like the director is saying, “We hurt you in Jack & Joker, so now we’re starting a new series with a fake wedding just to rub it in even more.” 😂Yin is back as Inspector Theer, who comes from a wealthy family and is funny, cunning and completely chaotic, while War plays his junior, Police Sergeant Mangkorn, who is kind hearted and comes from a poor, struggling family. Their personalities and backgrounds are completely different, which makes their constant bickering even more entertaining. Episode 1 had me laughing so much. From their mission to capture a criminal to that ridiculous fight scene that went from the bar all the way into the kitchen, I couldn’t stop laughing. Some scenes are so stupid and cringe, but in the BEST possible way. The second hand embarrassment is real! 😂 Their expressions, arguments, constant bickering and natural chemistry reminded me exactly why I missed YinWar so much. It feels so good having one of my favourite pairs back together again.
Things become even more ridiculous when Theer gets shot and ends up in hospital. His mother believes his terrible luck can be reversed through marriage, but of course, he cannot just marry anyone. His future husband needs to meet an incredibly specific set of requirements, including the right birthday and even certain letters in his name. And guess who somehow matches everything perfectly? Mangkorn. What are the chances?!
So naturally, the solution is a six month fake marriage followed by a divorce. Theer agrees because he wants to make his mother happy, while Mangkorn desperately needs money to help his struggling mother and dreams of building her a house. When Mangkorn asks for one million baht to agree to the marriage, it becomes a win win situation for both of them. One gets rid of his bad luck and keeps his mother happy, while the other gets the money to help his family. Simple, right? Because two handsome men pretending to be husbands and spending all their time together has NEVER resulted in anyone catching feelings in a BL before. I’m sure this plan will go perfectly. Definitely no jealousy, definitely no accidental feelings and definitely no forgetting that they are supposed to divorce after six months.
And we already got the wedding in EPISODE 1! I love a traditional Thai wedding, and normally we have to wait until the very end of a BL to finally see our couple get married. This time, we are doing everything backwards. They become husband and husband first, then they have to actually get to know each other, develop feelings and eventually become real lovers. I absolutely love that concept. And can we talk about that wedding vow kiss? It was so awkward, forced and obviously fake that I couldn’t stop laughing. 😂 I also already love Theer’s parents, especially his mother. Seeing parents who are completely supportive of their son marrying another man is so refreshing, and his mother basically shipping Theer and Mangkorn harder than the audience makes it even funnier.
Apparently, we also have ex lovers, hidden feelings and a prophecy suggesting that Theer’s bad luck could eventually fall onto Mangkorn instead. So we are getting comedy, romance, jealousy, drama, police uniforms, fake marriage AND YinWar chemistry? SIGN ME UP.
The music is great, the comedy genuinely makes me laugh and the storyline already has my attention. Most importantly, YinWar are finally back together on my screen. Now I just need to watch these two idiots spend the next 11 episodes insisting that their marriage is temporary while slowly becoming the most married couple imaginable. I already know that once the jealousy starts kicking in and those fake feelings become real, I’m going to lose it. My next 11 Saturdays are officially booked.
I also really like our second couple, Phuwin and Lukplub. They are so cute together, and unlike Theer and Mangkorn, their relationship is already established, so I’m interested to see where their story goes from here. Both couples are absolutely gorgeous, and having four handsome policemen and two different relationships to follow gives me even more reason to keep watching.
If you love seeing handsome leads looking ridiculously good in police uniforms 👮♂️👮♂️, enemies turning into lovers and a fake marriage slowly becoming something very real, then Police in Love should absolutely be on your watchlist. Add jealousy, comedy, workplace chaos, family moments and two men desperately trying to convince themselves that they are definitely NOT falling for each other, and this has all the ingredients for such a fun ride.
Give me the police uniforms, give me the jealousy, give me the fake husband chaos and give me Theer and Mangkorn slowly forgetting that they are supposed to divorce after six months. I came for YinWar, but I already know I’m staying to watch this fake marriage completely fall apart in the best possible way.
9.5/10. The marriage might be fake, but YinWar’s chemistry definitely isn’t. My next 11 Saturdays belong to these two chaotic policemen.

Review of POLICE IN LOVE (Episode 1/12)
STRENGTHS1) MANGKORN
I’m honestly so impressed every time Mangkorn (War) appears on screen. He’s so cute and charming, and somehow manages to steal my attention every time he shows up!
2) PHARADA AND CUPID
I really like Pharada (Thiar’s mother) and Cupid! Their characters are hilarious, especially because of their facial expressions and reactions. They definitely add a lot of comedy to the show.
3) THE COMEDY ACTUALLY WORKS
Even though POLICE IN LOVE sometimes has plots or situations that don’t really make much sense, I feel like the producers are intentionally leaning into the comedy. The exaggerated situations and humour actually fit quite well with both of actors (Yin and War), making the show feel lighthearted and entertaining.
WEAKNESSES
1) CAMERA WORK AND MOVEMENT DURING INTRO
The camera movement during the opening scene, especially when the police officers are at the disco, really bothered me. The camera moves around a little too much, and it honestly made me feel dizzy while watching the scene. I think a more controlled camera movement would have made the scene much easier to watch.
2) PROFESSIONALISM OF THE POLICE CHARACTERS
There are a few situations that feel rather awkward and unprofessional, especially considering that the characters are police officers, with Mangkorn being an inspector. For example, Mangkorn and Thiar casually talk about their wedding and future plans while they are at the police station. There is also a scene where Khanin and Nadon are flirting with each other in the office.
I understand that the drama is going for a comedy-focused approach, but some of these scenes make it difficult for me to take the police setting seriously.
3) INTRO - TOO MUCH HAPPENED
Too many things happened in the intro at once, making it a bit overwhelming to take in. So, I don’t really think it was a solid intro.
EPISODE 1 - 7.3

First impression
Pretty good so far, happy to see Yin and War in another series together. I like the plot, it isn't something innovative, but it is still a fun and enjoyable watch, in my opinion. I think it's mostly due to me not watching the pilot or trailer that I expected it to be a bit more on a serious note. It's really not a bad thing, though, just rather a surprise if you will.Things I liked:
1. When the character singing it actually is or sounds like it is them singing rather than just a song playing over it. It is so rare to see that I honestly have to mention it.
2. Acting.
3. All the funny moments.
4. Established side couple.
Things I disliked:
1. A bit too much happening at the start. Not that big of a deal, but we jump right into action, so it was a bit confusing to understand what was happening at first.

POLICE IN LOVE IS SO DAMN GOOD!
First of all, Episode 1 was beyond my expectations! The improvement is honestly so good. While I think the novel itself is okay, the series script is genuinely great, and I’m really impressed with how well everything has been adapted. The action sequences, especially for just the first episode, were so good and immediately caught my attention. I also really love the way the series balances melodrama, comedy, family emotions, and romance without making any of them feel out of place. And the chemistry between Yin and War? ARGH, I genuinely can’t get enough of them!
After watching Episode 1, I’m even more excited for what’s coming next, and I absolutely cannot wait for Episode 2. So far, I can confidently say that Police in Love is a wonderful and entertaining series, and definitely worth watching—especially if you’re having a bad day and just want something enjoyable to watch.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how the story develops from here!

CUTE, CHAOTIC & ACTUALLY FUN?!
Okay, Police in Love really surprised me with how much I enjoyed Episode 1! 😂💗Yin-War as a couple are already givingggg. Their chemistry feels natural, the rom-com moments are actually cute, and the comedy?? Thankfully, NOT cringe! 😂 It has that fun, easygoing vibe that makes you want to keep watching just to see what kind of chaos these two get into next.
Episode 1 was genuinely entertaining, and I’m already invested in their dynamic. 👀❤️
Definitely recommend giving this one a try, especially if you’re a Yin-War fan! If the first episode is anything to go by, we’re in for a fun ride. 🫶🏻✨

Impressive Comedy, Impressive Romance
Having read the original novel, there was concern about multiple plot points and depth; but, the show has clearly developed the original script into something more! The excellent direction by Jojo helps the actors' comic timing shine while the editing adds to the show as a whole. The set up and the jokes pull out laughs easily, making the watcher unaware of passing time.
Each character is so well-developed, falling in love with them is a given! Theer is extremely annoying (and maybe equally charming?), a character that is a great addition to Yin's repetoire (and shows how good of actor he is.) Mangkorn is feisty, sassy and can stand his ground, making him one of the cutest characters that War has played. Parn takes the cake as Theer's mother and Mai as Cupid...well, he is a hoot and a half!
The episodes are easily rewatchable; you might find yourself rewinding to rewatch certain scene because of how funny everything is.
The show is impressive comedy with impressive romance, making it the most impressive romcom!!

Have you ever wondered why South Korea got the Oscars? If you have any brains, ask yourself—sure, maybe 1000 fans will give a 10, but the fact is, it wouldn’t even win in Thailand.

And WHY does here to have a feminized character who is disgusting???
Why do I like or dislike? There is nothing to like, I don't like the acting, I don't like the characters, I don't like the mother who shouts and scolds, I don't like the feminized character... I would like: to see a romance, some joke... for two years they didn't film anything and then like a gambler who gets out in the last hand, he bets everything and of course loses
