Not as bad as some other dramas
Honestly I didn't expect much, and it exceeded those expectations. Was the series as great as some of the main stream titles? no, no its not. But honestly its got better editing and music taste than a lot of GL's that blare the theme song so loud during NC scenes. The writing definitely could have used more work, but what surprised me the most was how enjoyable the actresses were for me. With a better script I think these girls could actually go a lot further if given the opportunity. (they both still need acting lessons yes) but there are some large budget shows out there with worse acting and scripts. Now the plot is actually interesting, if they had spent more time on it I think it could shine a lot more. For what we got its fine, I think they did good with what they had. People should give this show a chance, its at least worth watching once I think, even if its to kill some time. Was this review helpful to you?

Shadow of Love Review: Chemistry Worth the Chaos
Shadow of Love had all the ingredients for a standout Thai GL — forbidden romance, family secrets, and explosive chemistry from #PlaifahBeBell. But uneven pacing, rushed twists, and lingering unanswered questions keep the series from fully reaching its potential. You can read the full review here: https://bit.ly/4uHj6N3

RANYA: The Prettiest Cry-Baby in Thai GL
SHADOW OF LOVE Ep 19 - This show has the most evil, most reprehensible villain-mother in all of GL.... Zero redeeming qualities, but her being so vile and detestable is what makes the show so interesting! Exhausting and exasperating to watch, but riveting, nonetheless. And Bebell Patthanarat Ketkaew - sweet, vulnerable Ranya - Bebell is so pretty, even when she's crying! In fact, "Ran" is the prettiest cry-baby in 🇹🇭 GL.

SHADOW OF LOVE Finale Ep - The "kids" (Plaifah/Chat & Bebell/Ranya are both 22y.o.) just schooled the entire 🇹🇭 GL industry on how to have a long love scene that's simply magical (ep 24.1 1:50-9:25)! Ep 24.2 ties up all the loose ends ever so sweetly. For all its faults, SHADOW OF LOVE emerges as THE breakout GL series of the 2nd quarter of 2026! Good job.

Melodramatic Perfection — The Chemistry Is Next Level!
I went into Shadow of Love expecting a standard micro-drama, but I was completely blown away by how addictive and intensely passionate this series turned out to be. If you are a fan of passionate romance or unparalleled main-lead chemistry, this should be a good watch. The premise itself is deliciously messy and gripping. Because it is a 24-episode micro-series, the pacing is incredibly fast.
What truly elevates Shadow of Love is the pairing of #PraifahBeBell. Their chemistry is pure magic. Praifah and BeBell completely understand the assignment when it comes to serving raw, emotional intimacy. Every look, hand placement, and shift in body language feels heavy with unspoken words, specially their eyes. Their romantic and intimate scenes feel entirely authentic and deeply connected. They completely carry the weight of this melodrama and elevate the script with their talent.
Also shoutout to the 2nd couple GunDonut. They did really well in this series though their screentime were less. I would like see them in a separate series obviously.
The wardrobe department also deserves a massive shoutout because both leads looked stunning throughout the entire run.
Overall I would like to say that enjoy this series as the actresses did a tremendous job. Would like to see them in a new series soooon.
