Nice Surprise!
I'd just finished watching the incredibly emotional roller coaster ride The Red Sleeve so was desperately looking for something to distract my poor depleted emotions so to speak, and happened upon Azure Spring. And what a lovely surprise!
A short well made, well written and set in a beautiful spot drama...it was exactly what I needed.
This healing storyline, using water as it's metaphor, was never heavy-handed for me and I though each main character's own trauma was well integrated into the whole story. There is little if no romance except for the potentiality of one that any viewer will see. And that potentially was really well developed, especially in only 6 episodes. In truth the lead pair had good chemistry so a few episodes longer to start to develop that side of the story would have been welcomed.
Overall, I truly enjoyed and was totally entertained through all 6 episodes...worth the watch!
And a P.S. to the powers that be....Would LOVE to see the ML, Kang Sang Jun, in some more male lead roles...he has quite the presence, he gives me a kind of Seo In-guk vibe.

Slice of life with lessons on the side
I think this drama is not supposed to be anything grand. I think it gave us what it advertised in a very sweet little packaging and although there were angsty parts, it was still easily digestible. Essentially this is about two struggling people, trying to figure out their current situation and eventually their future. They're grappling with themselves and doubting their purpose in life, all while in the beautiful backdrop of a small island. After both ML and FL suffered losses that had huge impacts on their lives, they find and heal each other, relearning how to enjoy a simple life. The drama offered a few beautiful quotes and sentiments about forgiveness, self growth and expectations from others and oneself.Although sometimes it felt like there were quite a few filler scenes with food, the core story about finding back to yourself and realising what truly makes you happy in life and being content, is truly heartwarming. Sometimes I struggled a little with the FL's attitude or some directorial choices that were made, but overall the characters were likeable.
If you're looking for a story about people who are not perfect and are trying to stay afloat amidst their worries, helping each other out, paired with beautiful cinematography and food scenes, then this is for you. It's calming and quiet, not too draggy and perfect for a breather and early summer!

Refreshing plot
Just happen to stumble upon Azure Spring in Viu and did not expect it to be so captivating. It is filled with some suspense that somehow makes me gruelled to the series. The lead actor and actress are also very natural, compatible and have good chemistry. I can't wait to see how the next episode unfolds. Worth watching! Was this review helpful to you?
Quiet in the most comforting way
Such a calm and comforting watch. The drama never tries to be overly dramatic or emotionally loud, it just lets the story unfold gently and naturally, and I think that’s exactly what made it work for me. Through the sea, the diving, and the quiet connections between people, it slowly talks about anxiety, exhaustion, fear of the future, and the need to find a place where you can finally breathe again. The chemistry between the leads felt very natural too, nothing exaggerated, just two people finding comfort and understanding in each other little by little. Overall, it’s the kind of short drama that doesn’t demand too much from you emotionally but still leaves you with a soft and peaceful feeling by the end. Honestly perfect for a relaxing evening. Was this review helpful to you?

Its cute and easy watch
This was an easy watch, centered around healing, moving on, and slowly learning how to let go of the past. The tone stays gentle throughout, never really rushing or forcing emotions, which makes it feel calm and comforting rather than heavy or dramatic. The scenery is genuinely one of the highlight soft, peaceful, and often carrying more emotional weight than some of the dialogue, It really gives the story space to breathe, especially during the quieter moments. The overall atmosphere makes it feel like a slow reset for the characters as well as for the viewer.
The story itself is simple but effective, nothing overly complicated, just small moments that gradually build up the emotional journey
Anna and Deok Hyeon’s relationship is one of the strongest parts of it,the way they slowly support each other through shared meals, diving, swimming, and everyday routines makes their bond feel natural and grounded,It’s not about big declarations, but about quiet presence and consistency.
The lil girl friend character can be a bit annoying at times, especially in certain scenes where she feels a bit too loud or disruptive compared to the calm tone of the story but it’s not enough to really ruin the experience. The ex irked me gladly he got beaten.
Overall, it’s the kind of show you watch when you want something soft, healing, and visually soothing, without too much stress or emotional intensity.

Shrill and noisy is not "healing"
Kudos to AzureSpring for managing to be the shortest kDrama I've ever dropped.Halfway through episode 4/6 its relentless NOISE got too much. For me, the one dominant adjective of any "healing" Drama would be "quiet". A shrill shouty 2FL to whom the FL replies in like tone? Make.It.Stop
kDrama CAN do healing Dramas, One Day Off remains my benchmark, but this one felt like a compressed romcom given a healing tag because of being set on a remote island. Tsundere/omniscient ML schooling homecoming FL, with endlessly shrill 2FL was anything but healing for me.

Nothing feels forced or overly dramatic, and the emotions come through in a simple but effective way. The cast is doing a really good job, especially during the smaller emotional moments where expressions and silence say more than dialogue. Visually, the drama is beautiful and soft, and the OST fits the mood perfectly without overpowering the scenes. Since there are only two episodes available, it’s still hard to judge the full story, but the beginning definitely feels promising enough to keep watching. Right now, Azur Spring feels like the type of drama you watch for comfort, emotions, and character chemistry rather than big twists.
