I started tgis expecting a fun Republican era mystery with some Lost Tomb lore and somehow ended up emotionally destroyed by Zhang HaixiaðŸ˜Watching him go from this smart, sarcastic accountant constantly bickering with haiyan to someone willing to give up everything just so his partner in crime could live was painful enough, but the show somehow made it worse.
He doesn't get a heroic ending,he doesn't get peace,he comes back broken, traumatized, stripped of his own will, turned into a weapon while Haiyan desperately tries to save him as everything crashes down around them, it was just tragedy after tragedy.
And Ding Yuxi absolutely wrecked me throughout the serie especially larest episodes, the emptiness in his eyes, the way you could feel Haixia disappearing piece by piece... I genuinely wasn't prepared for that Shrimpie deserved happiness and instead got endless suffering. I'm sick, devastated, and probably not recovering from this anytime soon ðŸ˜ðŸ’”
Haiyan trying his best to save him and save tgeir mentor was heartbreaking, he was grieving his only family while they were dying infront of him slowly, his guilt run deep, he killed his shrimpie and left living with this reality.
When it come to overall storytelling, they cut a lot and added some side stories that i didnt care about, we deserved the scenes that were deleted, anyway this was a ride, recommended

Whatever this was
This was genuinely a waste of time. The storyline was all over the place and made very little sense, the acting was weak, and most of the characters were more irritating than engaging. The excessive filters were distracting, the second couple added nothing interesting to the story, and the pacing was painfully slow. Every episode felt longer than it actually was, yet somehow the plot barely moved forward. I kept waiting for things to improve, but they never did. By the end, I wasn't frustrated with the drama as much as I was with myself for actually finishing it. A way to waste time on something irritating
This mess finally ended 😠and honestly, i still don't know why I stuck around,it was boring, overcrowded with characters, and packed with storylines that went nowhere.Rit spent half the series deceiving everyone, then the other half crying because he got deceived himself... the irony,and Itt somehow managed to be just as irritating.,after ritt giving that whole speech about fortune telling, he exposed himand really reduced an entire thesis to a love confession? Be serious.
Pure and Pitcha were cute, I guess, but even they couldn't save how dull everything felt. Overall, just lazy writing, weak character work, and a plot that kept going in circles. If you're looking to waste your time, this is definitely an option.

It didn't meet it full potential
This drama started strong, very refreshing romcom with time travel plotline, it was solid till it wasn't, half throughout show, the series lost the consistency and got so many plot holes , the characters writing become inconsistent, the villains were boring and useless actually,the going back and fourth to joseon era didn't make much sense,having tragedy every episode just for sake of it, shin seori was so fun, i loved her a lot, loved chemistry with saegyi, overall the drama didn't reach it full potential with such writingWas this review helpful to you?

It was ok
This was an okay GL overall,i was interested in the storyline, but the chemistry didn't really click for me, tge plot had potential, especially with the time travel element, but it felt underused and eventually lost my attentionPle actions were frustrating for most of the series,even with the whole "I'm doing this to protect you" justification, she often came across as unnecessarily harsh rather than sympathetic and for a supposedly massive company, it felt like there were only three employees running the place
What ultimately made the show disappointing was how predictable and anticlimactic it became, The father being villain reveal, Peem's death, and most of the major twists were easy to see coming, which took away any emotional impact.
The production quality and visuals were definitely strong, and the premise was genuinely interesting, but the execution never lived up to its potential.

It was better than i expected but i wanted more
I started this show with no expectations and surprisingly i liked it more than i thought, saitharn character took different direction from what we used to have, he wzsnt the stubborn brat from city who refuse to settle down in countryside, instead he worked hard tired his best to learn and get close to everyone and he succeed to do that,he found family within farmer, i loved how relationship with sila, it started as one night stand than creditor-debtor to lovers, they didn't deny their feeling or fight it, just went with flow, another part i liked how they made us suspicious with 2 people when it come to betrayal.Phae having girlfriend was nice bcz her family is shitty but their story was bland
Now let me go with things that let me down, we didn't get much of sila and saitharn
, we deserved more of them,
saitharn trauma and backstory was brushed off quickly, and we didn't learn whats his full conflict with his mom from first place
The villain ending felt incomplete, after exposing them on party we didn't see them again, it felt there is no closure for that side of story in my head.
Anyway overall this was cute show with nice scenery

Weakest story
As someone who read original sourcei wasn't excited for adaptation, its excatly how i expected it, the storyline goes from high school bl to Tiger’s heavy mafia family , tgese two parts clashes to me bcz how the mafia part treated as some regular job, what didn't help is the weak acting from supportive characters like tiger's brother or comical mafia boss father.What i enjoyed is tiger finding family in nao, his twin and mom, their part was my favorite on the serie, if we get back to love stpry, tiger 6year secret crush on nao, his yearning was fun, but till last minute i didn't feel nao romantic love towards him, it felt forced with no buildup from nao side, i wished that part would done better to feel more convincing.
Overall tgis wasnt bad but wasn't good either.

The pair deserved better storyline
Flower Boy is a case of strong visual execution paired with weak narrative depth,despite the interesting concept, it suffers from inconsistent character writing, rushed emotional arcs, and underdeveloped storytelling, resulting in a drama that looks better than it feelsMudan people were giving me a cult instead of special people with special scent
My biggest issue with is Gaysorn himself. While the series clearly wants viewers to see him as an innocent, kind hearted, and sheltered character, his writing is so inconsistent that I often found him more frustrating than sympathetic.
At first, his naivety is understandable,he comes from a excluded area and has little experience with the modern world,however, as the story progresses, his innocence starts to feel less like a character trait and more like a plot device,Gaysorn repeatedly ignores obvious warning signs, trusts people far too easily, and makes decisions that stretch believability,Instead of rooting for him, I often found myself questioning how he could be so oblivious, also the whole saint father/uncle situation… i genuinely don’t get how the story expects me to just move on from them being the killers of gaysorn’s parents, and accept scent with gaysorn, which btw scent lost his importance by ep 4, idk why they made character such weak and unlikable.

Very high production, but lost in story delivery
This drama stared so well, the pacing, narrative and story buildup was very good, than it got lost somehow with incompetent characters, mesdy writing and just boring storytelling.I loved signha and thup storyline, how they met, how they grow closer even tho im questioning why there is no lawyers for suspects in the drama but lets move on.
Details to connect ghosts with crime could've been better bcz darin, a doctor who work with police suggesting ghist doing crime in first few scenes was so random lol.
Darin and sey took few episodes to stop playing around eo with miscommunication, but they were cute when they got together.
Now coming to everyone, aka police officers, everyone is so incompetent, the characters incompetence for plot convenience was killing the story progress and the enjoyment, it lead me to just lose excitement while watching, bcz i went from i cant wait to watch to lets get over it., anyway the ending was satisfying.
I might complained a lot bcz i hate seeing potential to be wasted but i won't say i didnt enjoy it full

Not the best, didn't meet it potential
this drama was visually appealing, the cinematography was nice, the acting was great but it suffer from slow pacing and tonal clash,tge show wants to be an easy watch, but scamming someone is a heavy, life altering event, It leads to major trust issues,and the show failed to respect that, it was very hard to balance between angst and "dont think aboit it much energy ", the vibes of romcom were prioritized over accountability which was shame.For northU, they had comedic tone since begenning, which made me actually be okay with They story more than timpai story, the pair that got me hooked at first, U environment forced him to be the way he is but i loved his character development, it made me forgive him bcz he wasn't cunning, unlike Tim, i struggled with his character, he was a bad one, it didn't Matter to me his reason to scam bcz he was acting full year of loving boyfriend, did fake accident, was mean and playful after being exposed, i didnt forgive him, Pai played by mark who showed excellent performance that show wasted by pivoting it back to playfulness, He was person that struggled the most , left behind by his family after doing everything for them, he was lonely that Tim being with him was only thing keeping him together, he was way too forgiving.
Fck the grandpa and parents.
Anyway i wished the characters had been emotionally Intense, more lasting angst, accountability instead of playing it off.

I enjoyed it but expected more
Ill start by saying The cast was perfect, they did so well in their respective roles, they had so much chemistry together which also made this serie special to me. And basically saved it for meNow to storyline, we start off so well, first half of serie was good, we had intersting plotline kept me hooked than 2nd half come and editing become so bad, plotline lost and storyline dipped, focus went from jerome trying to save jinn to somehow making up with jinn's dad, i don't understand why they even tried to make jinn forgive him, he left him, this doesn't change, that forgiveness was some bs.
Now another big plot point we lost is how jinn actually die and how jerome save him, bcz it didn't matter if jinn survived accident with his mom h, he still died at age of 30 due sicknesses, so i dont get how we never got that explaned.
FarmVan needed better storyline too, van went from having no romantic feeling towards farm to loving him next ep, it didn't make sense.
Such potential of story got lost into details a'd i only blame people behind the scene from writers to editors and directors and i worry that one of series i look forward the most under same director which could end up with same team and ruin such great idea

So good and entertaining

Better than i expected
This drama have so many stories and heavy topics, what i loved the most was phi doc and sailom, the center story of this drama, sailom who have aphenphosmphobia, who dealt with a lot of bad things during his childhood due his creep piece of shit stepdad fell in love with doc, i loved how their progress, they respected work ethics by not making doc his therapist, instead he was there for him as friend.Their story was well written, sailom healing journey wasn't easy, it took him tipe to accept therapy, than open up slowly, and gradually he was be able to play with his friends and doc and touch them, and finally he was be able to touch his therapist and lett her touch him, it was heartwarming, i loved that they didn't make his healing be only related to doc or be dependent only on him, instead it was friends and his cicke of people. Than they took step to be boyfriends and be together.
The mom who comeback pmo omg, she was definitely something, doc choose to save his sister bcz he was nice, he didn't hate innocent sick girl but the mom womdn stay uncomfortable.
Tawan and dindin annoyed hell out of me ngl
I didn't care a lot about nawa and his boyfriend.
Overall this drama have a lot going on but cebter story was nice to watch and follow.

Slice of life, heartwarming drama
This queer drama is so sweet and heartwarming, i enjoyed it more than i thought, for some ot might be boring bcz its not typical love stories or series, but i found it very lovely, all characters are weird in a way, flawed but i ended up having empathy anf understanding each one of them, even if i dont agree with some of their action.The drama talked about serious topics like
patriarchy in work places, the pressure from society expectations, irresponsibility of parents, parents lost dream and prejudges against gay people in japen.
Genichi, saku , hotaru, landord lady are my favorite, ill miss them
