A young painter, fresh out of a state institution, is terrified of the violence rising in him triggered by childhood trauma involving his mother. He keeps to himself in his Bangkok apartment, fearing his violent impulses might flare up and cause harm. Just a floor below, a therapist, skilled at masking her deep-seated depression with smiles and warmth, struggles silently in the aftermath of a painful divorce. Living lives separated by just one floor, both are oblivious to the other's existence—until one strange locks their lives into a single orbit.
