Great potential but poor execution
I think the overall idea of the series is good. However, in my opinion, the execution could have been much better. There are quite a few things missing and a few changes could have made this lakorn much more enjoyable. My biggest issue is the amount of english used throughout the series. I understand that the main character is learning english, but in many situations, there's simply no reason for the characters to speak it. For example, the conversations in english between Vichana and Phai feel awkward and unnecessary. It doesn't add anything meaningful to the story or the dialogue.
I also think the lack of different locations is part of the problem. Almost every episode takes place in the same two settings, which makes the story feel repetitive. Because of that, even after watching a 40 minute episode, it often feels like very little has actually happened.
Another major issue is the script. Some scenes and character decisions are simply weird and don't make any sense. There are moments where the writing feels underdeveloped. The dialogue can be weak and many plot points could have been handled much better with stronger writing. It often feels like opportunities to build tension, develop the characters or move the story forward are unfortunately missed...
It's a shame because the lakorn had so much potential. I'm debating whether to finish the serie or not. If I do, I hope the upcoming episodes will improve and bring something new and refreshing for viewers!
