Hella icky red flag 🚩 If this were a guy pulling that "I want you + judge your job = pressure you" nonsense? Villain status INSTANTLY 🗣️ GL doesn’t = romance over boundaries! BUT we novel readers know 💡: Heiress is fighting her own demons + ingrained shame vs her big feelings for girl of her dreams. We Had Concerns. Episode 1 Changed Our Minds.

We weren’t exactly cheering after reading the Pls. Love novel, so Lena and Miu taking on its complicated leads had us nervous. Episode 1 changed that — fast. Smarter adaptation choices, stronger context, a more assertive Parn and a Peem who is every bit as complicated as expected gave this story new life. Add sharp production choices, a punchy soundtrack and some unexpected spice, and suddenly? We’re seated.
