Taxi Rides with Life Lessons
Another quirky show that is lite on actual story, since each episode is 15mins you don't get deep into story lines, though many of the stories do carry over for an episode or two and there is the core main characters.Basically the driver (Araragi Shoko) is late 20s approaching 30 and wondering if her life is 'good'. She really has a very limited circle of people around her, none very close outside her caretaker from when she was younger. (Araragi Yayoi). Having the weight of her childhood abandonment causing her to be reservered.
Throughout the show various passengers get in the taxi and many are dealing with their own life issues and Araragi does her best to listen & provide questions that often cause revisiting their view. There are a few bizarre passangers and a few I wish you had more time to know their story / outcome but that is how the show is structured, she has a brief window into their world.
So plot wise, the main plot is the only one with a somewhat wrap up. There is zero romance with the FL but her friend has a brief romance but is mostly frienship based.
Things I wanted to know:
- What was going on with the lady who saved a person drowning?
- Did Shibasaki Yakumo ever make peace with his parents?
- The woman who found her father who left, did they reconnect?
- The boy who had bed ridden - did he every get outside, explore life?
little things like that kept me invested. I recommend it as it is relaxing and easy to watch.
