Double Helix Episode 2 Reactions
what a roller costar of an ep... 1st off Lu Feng wasn't scratched he was freakin stabbed (with a broken bottle at that) so my 1st & main question - why was that f*cker still walking around free?!? given who Lu Feng is, or rather his father is, he let his son get stabbed & didn't seek justice??? if that f*cker would've been in prison (for stabbing Lu Feng), he wouldn't be around stalking Lu Feng, seeing how close he is to Xiao Chen & he for sure wouldn't have an opportunity to take a pic of them kissing - getting this whole mess started. their honeymoon period wouldn't have been cut short, in such a brutal way. the fact he got his head bashed in (kinda) isn't enough, as he got compensated. *****************************************************************************
feel sad & sorry for both mains, cause their families - the people they trusted the most Xiao Chen's brother & Lu Feng's sister betrayed them, basically sowed the seeds of doubt about their relationship & the person they love. that's unforgiveable, as they don't realize they r being gaslit by people they think r one their side, so freakin sad. *****************************************
ironic that the brother & sister turned out to be the main bad-guy's in this ep - i get that from their POV they thought their white lies where helping their siblings move on, from a abnormal relationship. but they didn't care how much it would scar, hurt & damage their siblings - as am sure this was trauma inducing for both. also the irony, am sure they both will resent each other thinking they caved & broke the promise they made ugh...

Tbh I never knew i would love the background story of them so much, i do hope next episode bring us back to the cruel reality of them and then between the middle and final episodes go back and break us mentally. The acting is so good and I'm really more impress with he side characters (aka; the mom, the dad , and that small action from the brother) uhhhh i was so pissed, yet i realize that was the point and i loved it . If you really think about it objectively there're so many things and feelings at the same time that most of the actions and/or reactions were valid for both families (not in favor of actual child abuse thought- and not letting someone explain themselves before summiting to fear and disgust). The "sex" scene... its a bit iffy for me to judge at the moment since, yes it seems it wasen't his initial choice and more of a spur-of-the-moment-&-hormones-thing, but at the same time, He kinda admited that his reaction was because of his "masculinity" being tested. I think we can see it as a "i did want it, yet i was not ready, now i feel ashamed of myself and mad too". (do i think some points are way subjective and some actions are too vague or childish? Yes and that"s the point they are college teens so i do like the general feelings and not direct communication approaches.

As they grew closer you could see one become more accepting of his feelings and the other move from control and obsession to softer and more gentle. I always struggle when love is divided by family. I need episode 3 now.

I cried during the ring exchange scene in episode 2 because it felt so genuine and emotional. Yichen being the first to say “I love you” even though he fell later made the moment even more powerful. When he cried, I cried too because the emotions felt so real through the screen.Another heartbreaking scene was when Yichen begged his brother for a chance to see Lufeng again while, at the same time, Lufeng kept writing letters and trying everything possible to reunite with him. Even after years apart, their feelings for each other never changed, and you can truly feel how deep their connection is.
