well WTH is the only word that comes to mind...…

well WTH is the only word that comes to mind... for a while now, been wondering WTF is going on with Chiharu's family, there always seemed to be something off there - as he got this weird look in his eyes when he happened to mention anything family related. even his excuse for not inviting Wataru over, was b.s cause like Wataru he could've just tided up. but he wanted to avoid Wataru coming face to face with whatever was going on with his family. ****************************************************this kinda putts me off him even more cause it looks like he keeps wooing Wataru getting under his skin & making sure he got used to him always being around & then suddenly disappearing - when it's the 1st time someone "noticed" up & treated u like ur special - little wonder Wataru fell so hard & now is convinced he is in-love - ok he is in-love & cause of the strategy used little wonder. & i know i might be unfair to Chiharu who might just be as naïve & pure in his intentions & actions. but idk just rubs me the wrong way

The summers we remember forever

The first four episodes transported me back to my first love, my high school best friend. That unforgettable summer together. My first experience of discovering what it meant to love someone, and the bittersweet realization that perhaps it wasn’t felt the same way on both sides.Like Chiharu and Wataru, there was something unrequited about it. A one-way love. My best friend loved me deeply, but as a friend, while I felt something very different. And then there was the letter I received when I moved to the U.S. I still have it to this day.How many of us are lucky enough to have great memories of those first summers when we were discovering who we were and discovering the person we might love? That’s what I love about the way the writers tell this story. Nothing feels forced. The relationship grows organically, almost imperceptibly, as two people slowly find their way toward each other through small glances, fleeting touches, and warm hugs. Sometimes the most powerful moments are the ones where almost nothing is said.Warmth is what separates mammals from reptiles. And perhaps that is what makes human connection so powerful. A simple touch, a warm embrace, the closeness of another person, it can heal aches and pains that words sometimes cannot.Maybe that’s what first love really is: a summer we never completely leave behind.

This Hit Me Personally

This happened to me in real life. My best friend and I had been inseparable since primary school. Then one night my parents told me to pack my bags because we were moving over 2,000 km away to another state.Back then there was no social media, no easy way to stay in touch. We completely lost contact for more than 10 years before we were finally reunited. It was heartbreaking for both of us. As children, we had no control over those decisions. Our parents made them for us.That is why episode 4 hit me so hard. Toda knew he was leaving, yet he left without saying goodbye. Leaving Saeki behind without a single word broke my heart. Sometimes a goodbye cannot change the outcome, but it gives the other person closure. Being left behind without any explanation is a pain that stays with you for a very long time.
