Igawa Masaki is an ordinary man living in a peaceful town that has zero incidents and has achieved 1,100 consecutive days of safety. With his calm personality, he works as a caregiver at a nursing home and lives a happy life with his wife, Mayumi, whom he has been married to for the past six years. One day, Masaki suffers a fall and falls into a coma. When he wakes up a week later, Masaki finds a stranger living in his home, impersonating him. His colleagues, neighbors, and even Mayumi seem to have no memory of him. While Masaki's life turns upside down, he finds out a "shocking truth" that lies behind all these events. Best J-Drama 2026!
Stop scrolling now! My heartfelt recommendation from drama lover to fellow drama lover: don't read any spoilers. I swear, this drama can be so exciting if you throw yourself into the cold water. 🐥💦So the premise starts with our main lead, who wakes up in hospital after an accident and is confronted with the fact that no one remembers him anymore - even his wife. To make things worse, someone else seems to have impersonated him and is living his life.
But obviously, there is more to it. There are reasons why this is happening. And you're about to find out through watching, together with the ML.
The cool thing is, in this drama, nearly everything is possible. You will come up with multiple theories, but the drama won't hint which one is true. At least not until when they want it to be revealed. Remember, the drama is short so sadly you won't be left clueless for long. And then the one or the other twist might throw you off again.
The pace feels rather comfy, especially at the beginning. The vibes also seem rather cozy. But don't be fooled.
The acting is good of the whole cast. But I especially had my eyes on ML and Tastamura. Wow. What a performance. 👏🏻
I was intrigued from start to finish. Tho, with all the big twists in the middle, I found the final episode a bit underwhelming.

🚨 And now, if you haven't watched it yet, don't read anymore and go watch it yourself. Because below will be heavy spoilers. ⚠️
I loved how the watchers (or me) were mislead. Based on the title I expected everything to turn out to be MLs delusion or coma dream or something . But after episode 2 it was clear everything must be an experiment. I felt smart coming up with theories why and how ML was used for their research. But I got slapped in the face at the end. At first ML looked like the victim. Only to epically turn into the villain. But in the end, he was just a lonely genius. A lonely god, so to say. And suddenly the title fit again. All characters were angry at him at some point, but at the end they came begging for a favor. And ML reluctantly granted them - but was still the only one being alone. That's what I'm a bit disappointed about tbh. I really liked him and Yuki together… oh well… I really wished for him to be happy too. As for the experiments continuing - I'm super happy about that hahaha. Leaves room for season 2? Probably not, huh? But I still think that ending was dope 👌🏻.
This drama was a rare hidden gem. I enjoyed the guessing and slaps in the face all the way. hahaha 😆❤️
