Ichinose Kanna, a detective with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department investigating the mysterious death of an idol, traces the victim's personal connections and the drugs that caused her death to a man who becomes a key person of interest. A single photograph is found in the man's room. It shows a familiar landscape from Kanna's hometown in Hokkaido. Meanwhile, back in her hometown, incidents of brown bears attacking livestock have been occurring frequently.
