Uehara Haruka is a full-time homemaker whose children have already left home and who now enjoys a comfortable, peaceful life with her husband. She has a group of friends with whom she shares a deep bond. The three live in Tokyo, Hayama, and Karuizawa, and their occupations and lifestyles are all different, but they now meet regularly, bringing their respective partners along as well. Haruka, Natsuki, and Akie. And one other friend from whom they have grown distant, Fuyumi—together, they were known as "Shunkashuto" (The Four Seasons) and had always been inseparable since their student days. Then, one day, they suddenly receive news of Fuyumi's death. As the three think back on Fuyumi, they begin to reassess the lives they have led so far—living earnestly without ever straying from the path laid out before them—as well as how they want to live from now on as they approach their sixties. "Just once, I'd like to become someone other than myself." The three remember the wish Fuyumi expressed while she was still alive. And so, they decide to try a ridiculous idea that they think might make Fuyumi laugh in heaven: a two-week "trial life" in which they swap partners with one another. These adults, who have lived straightforward and respectable lives until now, embark on the adventure of "swapping partners" in order to take a fresh look at their lives. The contrast is sure to feel both amusing and endearing. (Source: Japanese = WOWOW || Translation = MyDramaList) Edit Translation
