It follows twenty-six-year-old Murasaki Wakako, who was born with "a drinker's palate," as she wanders in search of places where she feels at home after work and on her days off, savoring the pleasures of drinking alone. In the Hokkaido episode, Wakako begins with a tour of Kunimare Sake Brewery, Japan's northernmost sake brewery, before visiting Rumoi City and Mashike Town in Hokkaido. There, she enjoys fresh seafood delicacies and alcoholic drinks unique to these scenic port towns, and, with the Rumoi Hitori Nomi Techo in hand, experiences the local culture of drinking at night. In the Fukushima Prefecture episode, she visits Kitashiobara Village and Urabandai, where she enjoys a "girls' trip" amid magnificent natural surroundings and beautiful lakes and ponds such as Lake Hibara and Goshikinuma. She also savors local mountain-salt cuisine unique to the area and a diverse selection of distinctive alcoholic drinks.
