Hiiragi Koichi is an internationally acclaimed craftsman who has lost his passion for creating new works and now lives alone in a mountain workshop, repairing furniture. One day, university student Moriya Natsuki arrives with a broken whisky glass that belonged to his grandmother, Kaoru—Hiiragi’s childhood friend and a woman he parted from decades ago without revealing his true feelings. The glass holds memories of a promise Hiiragi and Kaoru once made, prompting him to repair it using kintsugi. As Hiiragi and Natsuki carefully piece the fragments together, the aging craftsman struggling with his past and the young man uncertain about pursuing photography begin to form an unexpected bond.
