Hanazawa Taro is now a detective of a special unit of Kyoto Prefectural Police’s First Investigative Division. Unconcerned about being a novice in investigations, he uses his physique and smile to get close to people and search the inner recesses of their hearts. He quickly identifies discrepancies and solves cases. There were times in his first year as a detective when he failed and had regrets, but he has increasingly honed his acumen and powers of deduction through interactions with all sorts of suspects.
