This was my first family drama and I really loved it. I laughed and cried with the characters. The cast was great and had great chemistry with each other.
The show makes you realise that parents and family love is far more important and have more value than any kind of wealth.
It definitely has a lot of romance angles as each sibling has their own unique love story.
First, it may seem its all about the story of siblings but it is deeper than that.
All characters even supporting one is important to the storyline.
But it's not just a family or romance drama it had lots of comedy moments, especially with Moon Tae Jao.
Personally, I liked Kang shim storyline most from both of his brothers. His brother's angles are also good but being a girl and more into mature romances I liked her lot better.

Young Ones Had More Going For Them!

20/01/2024

Watched this back to back with another one called: My Father Is Strange.

I actually prefer MFIS over WHTMF like 70% more! WHTMF wasn't perfect either, but something about it kept the flow going and it wasn't as silly.

With WHTMF it is at the best of times cheesy so I ended up skipping though certain characters and scenes like the Director and Secretary Cha or the Director's father and his new wife. Couldn't stomach Doctor Cha's newly wed wife either or her parents nor him at times as he always wore the same poker face expression.

I liked the younger cast members except maybe the character of the country bumpkin girl as she was exactly the same as she is in Shopping King Louie (?) ...yawn, yawn and another yawn. The younger ones being the youngest Cha son, Se Weoul, and the CEO of the restaurant although Se Weoul was the one that annoyed me.

I didn't mind Miss Go either.

What was good in this series was when the lawsuit was put into action and that really is when it improved a bit, but that doesn't happen to either mid way through - before episode 30.

What I didn't like was how it took a serious illness to make the oldest son change his attitude towards his father and I suppose the daughter too.

I don't think it should have taken a lawsuit or serious illness for guilt to kick in and make a person act better towards another. His father shouldn't have had to beg or do things just because his son was ashamed or to protect everyone's so called pride and keep a happy balance.

And that is the other thing - ashamed of what?!

There is no shame in anyone running a little store and raising a family with minimal money and lots of love and kindness.

The shame is with those that look down their noses at others or society's unrealistic expectations of the do haves, don't haves and you will never have unless you marry well, cut certain ties and do as you say!

come to Seoul to see the boy and complete the promise made by them but she mistaken with another boy who has the same name of the boy whom she look for and whole drama start with misunderstanding ,because of this misunderstanding few episodes were funny ,then gradually drama brings the light on the problem which normally a some family face .Story contain love triangle ,relationship between parents and children ....Story of three different family having their respective problem at last everyone realize their mistake and story end with happy ending .
As I already seen many kdrama based on family like My golden life , currently airing Shall we leave together ,father I will take care of you ,so nothing new I found in this but this drama gave some lesson to the children who move towards wrong track and whatever problem they are facing in their life ,they think such thing happened because of their parents ,and they get frustrated and they even not realise that how much they are hurting their parents by their deeds. Then eventually they realise their mistake but it is too late.
All such thing you will see in the drama .
Ok drama ,one time watch

Super Worth It Family Drama!!!!

It sounds like you've stumbled upon a real gem of a drama! It's never too late to discover something wonderful, and it seems like "The Daily Struggles of Families" really struck a chord with you. It's amazing how actors can bring such chemistry and depth to their roles, isn't it? Park Hyung Sik and Nam Ji Hyun must have been truly captivating together. Hopefully, they'll reunite on screen someday, perhaps as a married couple as you hope! Dal Bong and Kang Seo Wool sound like memorable characters, too. It's wonderful when a drama resonates with you so deeply that you want to watch it again and again.

It's amazing how a well-crafted drama can evoke such a range of emotions and keep you hooked through twists and turns. And with 53 episodes, it seems like there was plenty of opportunity for laughter, tears, and that heart warming feeling of being in love. Kudos indeed to the talented cast for bringing such depth to their characters!

I can believed I only watched it this year 2024.

Took Me a while to get into it but then…

The first couple episodes were somewhat off putting because the oldest kids were off putting. I never did warm up to the selfish oldest son; his whiny wife or mother in law. However, if it weren’t for Kang Sim and Tae Ju I don’t know if I would have finished this drama. In the end, I’m glad I did watch all the episodes. Sure the In law Moms were somewhat meddlesome so I just FF’d through it if they were too ridiculous.

A shame more time wasn’t given to Soon Bong and Bok Ja.

My favorites ended up being Tae Ju, Kang Sim and Eun Ho.

What I loved the most was Soon Bong’s mission to bring his kids back to realizing that being family and having fun was the most important.
