Happy New Year!!!!!

I think that everyone has a moment when he/she just needs time to cry his/her heart out, right? I made up this list with movies that helped me when I was in a moment of depression or sadness and I needed something that could help me get rid of the pain.I don't know if these movies will appeal to you, but just give them a try alright?!...I assure you that you'll be able to find at least 2 that are going to be helpful.
Enough with the talking here they are, My Top 10 tearjerkers:

Myu no Anyo Papa ni Ageru

This movie has Matsumoto Jun and Karina in it... names that sound a bell for drama lovers, right? Well, those names vanished from my mind after seeing the young Hatakeyama Rina playing her role as Myu-chan...it was really astonishing! How should I put it? She didn't have many lines, but hearing her say, "Appa be strong" or "We are here for you daddy," made my heart melt. Hearing that made me think, "So this is how strong a kid can be".
This movie makes you realize how important a family is, and that everyone has their role--either as parents or children.Watch this movie people, maybe not now with the new year and all, but sometime when you feel your parents wronged you or your kid doesn't understand you. If you can, just give up 2 hrs of your time and watch this film. :)

The Crucible

Wow... Korea has such talented young actors!!! It really amazed me how they pulled out their roles.I know what you're thinking, "What is she talking about!? Gong Yoo is in it and she brags about some little kids?"
Well, yes, this is exactly what I'm saying! Don't get me wrong, I think this movie is his best role so far, but those kids were just amazing.Thinking that they weren't even 15 when this movie aired is just remarkable!
This has to be the most upsetting movie I've ever seen. Watching it made me realize that this actually happens; this is the world that we live in. The villains here aren't bad people they are monsters; something like robots that are designed to destroy the human body from inside out. o_O
I think that everyone must see this film once in their life time... it just helps you see a little more of the world in front of you. It helps you open your eyes and makes you want to be a better person.

Aftershock

Can a mother choose to save one of her children and let the other one die? Yes she can.
Can she live with her choice? No, she can't. This movie proves just that.
It is a movie about acceptance, letting go and forgiveness. It made me realize that nothing can suppress mother nature and its power...nothing. Whether its an earthquake, tsunami, hurricane, etc., when mother nature strikes, the disaster that is the aftermath is such a tragedy. These kinds of disasters can destroy a family, and Aftershock best exemplifies the reality of this tragedy.
After watching it I really don't know what was harder, letting your child die to save the other one and live with it or being that child your mother chose to kill so your brother could live. This film was really sad. The most heartbreaking thing was the fact that you just can't hate the mom--you just can't--because it was a choice that she had to make. Really people, just watch this movie...if not for the story, than for the people that really died during the 1976 earthquake in Tangshan.

Yuuki

Thinking back, I really can't remember anyone a part from Kamenashi in this movie. After watching it and seeing the list big names roll up in the credits such as Oguri Shun and Fukiishi Kazue, I just couldn't help but think, "Those actors were in it? When!!!?"
Kamenashi is amazing in here! He took over everything in this movie... the entire screen. This film made me realize how an actor can make one see only him, you know? It's like I just couldn't see anyone else in it, because no one else mattered except Yuuki (Kamenashi).
I think that everyone wonders what the most important thing in life is, and I think the answer is life itself. When you are healthy you have a chance to love, to care, to laugh, to cry, to do everything and anything! This is how precious life is and it should not be taken for granted. I mean, how many times have we heard something like that? LOTS! So, it must be true ;p Yuuki is definitely your time.

Dear Friends

This movie tells the bond of friendship between two girls that are as different as night and day.To be fair, I really didn't appreciate Keiko-san before this movie. She was beautiful and a good actress, but nothing spectacular. Initially, I was really uncertain about whether I should watch this...good thing I did! Not only did this movie make me change my opinion of Keiko-san, but it also became one of my favorites. It made me realize how much a person can affect your life and actions. What is true friendship? From this movie, a true friendship means being there for your friend through the good and bad times, smiling when the he/she is happy and being strong when he/she is sad.
Watch this film with a friend...it will surely deepen your bond and feelings for each other.

A Moment to Remember

Yes, yes...finally there is a romantic movie on my list, and not just any movie, but one of the most popular movies on this site. You've heard of imdb, right? Well, this movie is rated an 8.2--a very high mark for that site. I really don't have words for how beautiful this film was. It introduced me to Jung Woo Sung and Son Ye Jin - two of the top actors of today imo.
The chemistry was so strong that it made me forget that I was actually watching a movie and not seeing the screen right in front of me. Loving someone so much that you can live with her even if she doesn't know who you are is an incredible thing--kind of sad, but nonetheless incredible. Trusting someone you don't know and believing in his words, because somewhere deep down, something is telling you that he is your beloved is even more remarkable.
This movie is a masterpiece! It is my all-time favorite! :D

Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu

I think that the majority of you have already watched this movie. For me, this was my first Asian film. After reading the manga (and loving it), I just couldn't resist watching it. It was really pure and beautiful to see how a friendship can blossom into love and how that love can support someone.
Tell me, after watching this movie (if you have), don't you think that the fight you had with your girlfriend/boyfriend is really nothing compared to this story? Isn't it really beautiful to see the face of your significant other and hear his/her voice everyday?
Okada Masaki and Inoue Mao were really great in this film. I think that they succeeded in bringing nostalgia to everyone by making us viewers think back to our first love.

Pain

I loved this movie!! It was twisted, not many lines and sad, but i loved it! Kwon Sang Woo is a great actor; I've said it once and I can say it 100 more times! He really is 'that' good. The couple in this movie had great chemistry, which actually made the movie even more heartbreaking. Their relationship showed how not feeling anything physical, but carrying all of the scars and hurt inside you, is awful. On the other hand, knowing you can die from a little scratch is terrible as well, which this movie also showed. Making two different people meet and fall in love is even more sorrowful in this movie, and you will see why when you give this movie a shot, because it tells the story of two lonely souls that should have never met.

10 Promises To My Dog
http://images.nipponcinema.com/news/10_promises_to_my_dog.jpg

I don't know if this movie can make anyone cry, but it did it for me. Being a sucker for animal movies, I really couldn't walk over this one, and I ended up loving it to death. It made me think back on the last time I've played with my dog instead of going out all of the time. This movie made me ask myself, "When was the last time I've stayed on the floor talking to him and rubbing his belly?" At that moment, I found that I should spend more time with my dog ;p This story tells the bond between a girl and her puppy. Nothing amazing or outstanding. It is just a story that anyone can identify with and that is the beautiful part about it. Everything is told with such simplicity that even if you don't want to, you start thinking about your pet and your feelings for it regardless.
I really suggest you to watch it, even if you have a dog or even if you do not, because it can really bring your mood up and make you see the animal around you in a different light.

Air Doll

After hearing so much about it I decided to watch it. Arata is one of the actors that I appreciate the most and Bae Doo Na isn't an actress to close your eyes on either, so I gave it a try. It was a real masterpiece. I didn't cry until the end of the movie, but even then, I cried for 15 minutes without stopping. This movie touched some ideas that were never really pointed out before: the emptiness that exists in all of us, true meaning of life and finding your true self. More than a love story I see it as a psychological movie. It's really a beautiful film that in my opinion is very underrated.

So this is it. I'm sure that there are so many more movies that I've missed, but these are some of the films that helped me when I was sad and lost. I would really appreciate it if you can add some titles below as well 'cause I really want to see some other beautiful movies.

Happy New year!!!
