Hi Drama-addicts!
I have to tell you about a serious mental hazard: The BAD second female lead! I mean they make us go crazy while we watch a drama:
I mean I’m even slapping the screen of my phone when I see, for example, Hong Se Na (Rooftop Prince)
BUUUT wait! There are nice one, too! Ok we can’t always say nice, but acceptable ones. There are? Hmm.. Yes there are some! We should mention these now, because they really deserve it!
HERE ARE THE TOP 8 OF THE BEST SECOND FEMALE LEADS!
8. Yoo Seung Mi (Shining Inheritance)
Yoo Seung Mi is the stepsister of the female lead Go Eun Sung (Han Hyo Joo). Maybe some of you are thinking now: “Yoo Seung Mi.... NICE!? Did you choose her because you can’t find another one!?” I have to say.... maybe, but first of all, it’s that she’s not the one to blame - but her mother! She makes her lie all the time and makes her think that it’s the best way! The only thing that matters is that she stopped her mom at the end and made her stop the evilness. I think that’s worth the 8th place in our rank, even though I insulted her 100 times in my mind ;)

7. Kim Baek Hee (Dream High)
Kim Baek Hee was the “servant” of Go Hye Mi, our female lead. It’s obvious that she could not always be satisfied with that. Because of how she got treated by Go Hye Mi, she started wanting to be better than her. She was never really bad, but too ambitious... except she did some things that were really bad. But in the end Go Hye Mi and her made up and that was really sweet ^-^ so she gets the 7th rank!
6. Yoon Kang Hee (I Need Romance)
Yoon Kang Hee seems to be a bad girl, who don’t care whether a boy is already in a relationship, but then turns out to just be a lonely girl in love, who’s desperate because she has to fight so much. She said herself that she’s sad about In Young meeting Kim Sung Soo first, that she honestly loves him and that she won’t give up till she gets him. May sound a little bad but I think it’s just real love.
So the 6th place goes to our desperate, lonely (enough sympathy -.-) and sad girl in love Yoon Kang Hee!
She is the fiancee of Lee Soon Jun. He doesn’t really love her but she loves him. She has always been in love with him and was always trying to “get him”. Actually she’s really nice but just got the 5th rank. Why? Because she didn’t really know what was going on, I mean she never thought of Kim Yoon Shik as a threat but as a friend of Soon Jun. Maybe she would have acted differently if she knew...
4. Kang Min Soo (Can You Hear My Heart)
Kang Min Soo is kind of a friend of Bong Woo Ri, our female lead. They are getting along well as Unnie and Dongsaeng :) Sure Kang Min Soo is “a little bit” angry about how not even one of the two boys caring about her, but it’s not that hard for her since she’s not really in love. I mean she’s bargaining about who she gets with Woo Ri! Still she’s a nice girl who is even liked by the mother of Cha Dong Joo :)
I like her too, so she gets the 4th rank! Cheer up Min Soo’ah! You will get one of them since Woo Ri can’t have both ^-^ Right!? O.o
3. Seo Na Yoon (Protect the Boss)
First of all Seo Na Yoon doesn’t have to be nice to win my heart! She has a one of a kind charm! It’s like: “I’m acting in this way because I never really had friends.” It makes me like her. :) When No Eun Seol and Lee Myeong Ran treat her good they all became “kind of friends” after she runs away from her 'mother'. At least they got along well enough with our female lead to live together and give us some great and funny scenes.
(Just soooo many funny moments with her!)
2. Kim Kkot Nim (Glowing She)
She’s a really sweet girl ^-^But you won’t believe that when I tell you that she was married to a man....... that one of her best friends dated..... for 5 years!! Yes! In the drama it’s no big thing but to me it’s unbelievable that they both can still be friends! She still loves him and of course doesn’t want them to be together - I mean it’s her ex! In the end she just takes it how it is. And she’s there when her friend needs her, not caring about what they went through. :) I think that deserves a good second place! Wohooo Kkot Nim Noona! (No! I’m not a boy!)
1. Ha Jae Kyung (Boys Over Flowers)
Ha Jae Kyung deserves being the first place! The whole story: she and Geum Jan Di meet in China when Jan Di goes there to see Go Jun Pyo. She then gets to know that he’s betrothed. She does not even know who it is and befriends with Ha Jae Kyung and THEN gets to know that SHE’S the fiancee of Go Jun Pyo.... Oh what a bad situation! Ha Jae Kyung is not the one to blame! She loves Go Jun Pyo and really wants to marry him, she also wants a friend to share all the wedding-nervousness with, not thinking about hurting Jan Di. But at least organizes a way for Go Jun Pyo to flee with Jan Di from the wedding and say that she will manage the rest. How touching, doing that for a friend! That deserves the FIRST PLACE! Ha Jae Kyung! You go girl! ;)
Sooo.... Now we saw some great second female leads. If you are missing some then.... What can I do? I haven’t watched ALL dramas in the world! But still sorry for that ;) And before I forget: Hong Se Na is bad bad bad bad bad bad bad! Just so you don’t forget it I hate her -.-
