After delivering some bad news last time, I'm here again and this time I'll give you a reason to rejoice.
JYJ's Park Yoochun has been confirmed to be the male lead for the new upcoming drama, Three Days. He has proven himself to be one of the best idol actors out there, and frankly, I'm quite excited to see him in this project.
Three Days is based upon an exciting action-thriller plot where the President of Korea goes missing after three gunshots are fired. Yoochun acts as the president's bodyguard that must find him and bring him back to the Blue house (which is where Presidents in Korea live for the duration of their presidency). And on top of that, the show will follow a three-days format meaning that this 20 episodes drama will span the course of only three days. Guys, we're in for a ride.
As of now, Yoochun is the only confirmed actor but Park Ha Sun (Two Weeks, Ad Genius Lee Tae Baek) is in
talks to join him as the female lead. Other actors that are rumored to join the drama's cast are Son Hyun Joo ( Golden Empire, Tazza) as the missing president, and Jang Hyun Sung (Who Are You, Vampire Prosecutor) as Yoochun's boss.
The drama is penned by Kim Eun Hee who has also written Ghost, Harvest Villa and Sign while the director is Shin Kyung Soo who has directed Tree with Deep Roots.
I don't know about you, but this is definitely going on my to-watch list. Promising plot that doesn't fall under tired KDrama cliches? Check. A possibly great cast? Check. A writer with actual experience in this genre? Check.
I love my rom-coms as much as the next person, but who doesn't love some action once in a while?
SBS has been on a roll this year with many hit dramas (The Master's Sun being the latest) and it looks like 2014 is going to start with a BAM. Literally.
Three Days is set to premiere this February after You From Another Star in the Wed-Thurs timeslot.
