The Korean action thriller The Roundup: No Way Out has won the Focus Asia People's Choice Award in the People's Choice Award category at the 56th Sitges Film Festival, following in the footsteps of its prequel, The Roundup, which also won the same award in 2022.

Invited to the Orbita section of the 56th Sitges Film Festival, which concluded on October 15, The Roundup: No Way Out brought home the prestigious accolade. This is followed by its victory at the 27th Fantasia International Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award in the Asian Feature (Gold) category, just like its prequel The Roundup, which also won the same award in 2022.

An official from the K-movie's distributor, AV Entertainment, commented, "Since the winners of both film festivals are determined by votes from the audience [who watched the movies at both festivals], it is evident that the exciting action, humor, and message of The Roundup series resonate with global audiences".

Director Lee Sang Yong, who attended the awards ceremony, expressed his heartfelt gratitude, saying, "I'm grateful to the Spanish audience who enjoyed watching The Roundup: No Way Out, and I'm also grateful to the officials of the Sitges Film Festival organizers for inviting our film this year as well as last year. I hope to make the next [installment of] The Roundup series enjoyable as well and have the opportunity to screen it at the Sitges Film Festival again".

The sequel to The Roundup: No Way OutThe Roundup: Punishment, will be released sometime in 2024. Meanwhile, watch The Roundup: No Way Out on Prime Video.
