Ahn Tae Hwan will be part of the upcoming SBS drama "Today's Webtoon."
On July 19th it was confirmed that Ahn Tae Hwan will be added to the cast of the upcoming SBS drama "Today's Webtoon."
Ahn Tae Hwan's agency Sublime Artist Agency confirmed that the actor will be joining the upcoming Friday and Saturday drama "Today's Webtoon."
The series will be directed by Jo Soo Won ("Pinocchio" and "I Hear Your Voice") and written by Jo Hyun Joo.
Ahn Tae Hwan will give life to the role of Choi Doo Hee. He is an editor of the neon webtoon editing department. He is a serious lover of manga. He believes that manga is his best friend who shared all his joys and sorrows.
"Today's Webtoon" will be the Korean remake of "Juhan Shuttai!" The drama will depict the story of On Ma Eum, a former judo player who had to quit and decided to enter the world of the webtoon industry. The drama will also reveal the happenings inside a webtoon department and showcase the everyday struggles of the office workers.
The series will be led by Kim Se Jeong, Choi Daniel, Nam Yoon Su, Ko Chang Seok, Jang Sung Yoon, and Kim Gab Soo.
"Today's Webtoon" will replace "Why Her?" drama timeslot. The series will premiere on July 29th at 10 PM KST.
"Today's Webtoon" will be the second drama of Ahn Tae Hwan for the year. The actor started 2022 with "Ghost Doctor." He worked alongside Rain, Kim Bum, After School's Uee, APINK Son Na Eun. He was one of the resident doctors in the series.
Ahn Tae Hwan has starred in several dramas such as "Dinner Mate," "Mystic Pop-Up Bar," "Eat, Fight, and Live Together," and more. He also made special appearances in the series "The Penthouse: War in Life" and "Oh My Ladylord."
