Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
The K-pop and K-drama fandom was shaken by the tragic news of ASTRO member Moon Bin's death. According to the police, Moonbin was found dead at his home in Seoul's Gangnam district by his manager at around 8:10 pm yesterday. The police have stated, “It appears that Moonbin took his own life. We are currently discussing the possibility of an autopsy to determine the precise cause of death.”
As one of the members of the popular K-pop group ASTRO, Moonbin had a bright future ahead of him. He was also active as a unit with fellow member Sanha, known as Moonbin & Sanha, and scheduled to appear in various events such as the Dream Concert. Moon Bin had guest roles in many k-dramas and variety shows, but starred in Soul Plate alongside other ASTRO members, as well as in Mermaid Prince.
This sudden news of Moonbin's death has shocked his fans and the K-pop community, leaving many in disbelief and mourning. However, it also raises important questions about the pressures that K-pop idols face and the importance of mental health support.

"We are sorry to bring you such sad and heartbreaking news. On April 19th, ASTRO member Moon Bin suddenly left us and became a star in the sky. We cannot compare the grief of his family who have lost their beloved son and brother, but ASTRO members who have been together for a long time, as well as our fellow artists and staff at Fantagio, are deeply mourning and in shock.
We would like to express our condolences to those who have supported and sent unconditional love to Moon Bin. It hurts even more to bring you this sudden news because we know more than anyone how much he loved and cared for his fans.
We earnestly request that speculative and malicious reports be refrained from in consideration of the bereaved family who are deeply saddened by the sudden news.
Finally, according to the wishes of the family, the funeral will be held quietly with only family, relatives, and company colleagues attending. Once again, we send our deepest condolences to Moonbin on his final journey."
