B1A4's Jung Jin Young will be one of the main leads of the Korean drama version of Miss Granny.
It was officially confirmed on July 9 that Jung Jin Young will work together with Jung Ji So, Kim Hae Sook, Lee Kwang Hee, Chae Won Bin, and Kim So Won in the upcoming K-drama Miss Granny.
This will be the second K-drama of Jung Jin Young in 2024. The idol actor is also set to join the upcoming Netflix original K-drama Sweet Home Season 3 with Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Do Hyun, Lee Si Young, Go Min Si, and Yoo Oh Sung. He will also star in the upcoming youth K-drama Summer Vacation.
Jung Jin Young will also return to the big screen with the upcoming movie You Are the Apple of My Eye. He will lead the film alongside TWICE's Kim Da Hyun.
The idol actor is known for being part of the K-dramas Police University, My First First Love, Love in the Moonlight, Warm and Cozy, and more.
Many are already anticipating it as Jung Jin Young was also part of the original movie version of Miss Granny. Expectation arises on how he will perform in the K-drama version of the hit film.
Miss Granny will tell the story of Oh Mal Soon, a 74-year-old grandmother who will turn into a 20-year-old woman overnight and will experience youth once again.
The K-drama version will be the collaboration work of director Park Yong Soon (Wanted and Secret Mother) and writer Heo Seung Min (Risky Romance).
Jung Ji So will give life to the role of Oh Du Ri and will showcase the freshness of a 20-year-old youth who will pursue her forgotten dream of being a singer. Kim Hae Sook will play the role of Oh Mal Soon, the 74-year-old grandmother who still wants to pursue her unfulfilled dream.
Jung Jin Young on the other hand will play the role of Daniel Han, a successful entertainment producer who was once a leader of a popular group. After Oh Du Ri appears, his quiet life will be shaken.
According to reports, Miss Granny will premiere within the year.
