MBC's upcoming Friday-Saturday drama Black Out, has finally released its first teaser, featuring Byun Yo HanGo JunGo Bo Gyeol and Kim Bo Ra among others.

Black Out tells the story of a young man, Go Jung Woo, who was branded as a culprit in a murder case, while the corpse was never found. After serving ten years in prison, he now seeks to uncover the truth of the case that turned his life upside down.

The teaser highlights the shattered life of Go Jung Woo, who allegedly brutally killed two of his high school student friends 11 years ago in Mucheon City. Although he sometimes displayed violent behavior, Go Jung Woo has no memory of committing the crime he is accused of.

When even his parents turn their backs on him, Jung Woo, who begins to question himself, resigns himself to a bitter acknowledgment, saying, "I guess I did kill them." Despite being just 20 years old, Jung Woo becomes a target of everyone in a prison full of vile criminals and endures numerous assaults. The fierce look in his eyes, as he succumbs to the unyielding violence, reveals his empty heart.

Then, Jung Woo's life reaches a turning point when Detective Noh Sang Cheol (Go Jun), who is tasked with reinvestigating the murder case, arrives in Mucheon City. As Noh retraces the past, puzzling out the inconsistencies and piecing together clues, it becomes apparent that something significant was hidden about that day 11 years ago.

In particular, Jung Woo's lost memory must be recovered to reveal the facts of the murder case. Determined to uncover the truth of the incident that shattered his life, Jung Woo vows to remember.

Is Go Jung Woo truly the culprit? What exactly happened on that day 11 years ago?

Black Out will premiere on August 16. There is currently no news about the K-drama's global OTT service. Watch the teaser here
