Disney+ K-drama "Shadow Detective Season 2" Confirms Release Slot

Disney+ has revealed the cast lineup and release slot for season 2 of its original series Shadow Detective Season 2.

Shadow Detective Season 2 is a story about Kim Taek Rok (Lee Sung Min), a veteran detective who becomes a murder suspect following a mysterious phone call. The series gained attention for its immersive storyline and the stellar performances of seasoned actors.

In Season 2, Lee Sung Min retains his role of Kim Taek Rok. Taek Rok now moves from the violent crimes unit to the juvenile crimes unit. The story now delves into the detective's journey of uncovering the true identity of "Friend", a mysterious caller who turned the detective into a murderer.

From Season 1, Kyung Soo Jin and Lee Hak Joo will also retain their roles of Lee Sung Ah and Son Kyung Chan, respectively, who are Taek Rok's dependable juniors. They reappear as stronger detectives in the violent crimes unit, encountering a series of new challenges. Among others, supporting actors Go Gyu Pil and Hyun Bong Sik, will also return in Season 2.

 Moreover, Season 2 welcomes the new cast Jung Jin Young and Kim Shin Rok. Jung Jin Young will be seen as Ki Do Hyung, a respected retired police officer and Taek Rok's former partner, and Kim Shin Rok will play the role of Yeon Joo Hyeon, the newly appointed team leader in the juvenile crimes unit. 

Furthermore, Joo Jin Mo and Jung Hae Gyun will also join the drama in supporting roles. 

Shadow Detective Season 2 will release on Disney+ in July. The exact premiere date is yet to be announced. Stay tuned!
