The cast of the Korean action movie The Roundup: Punishment, including Ma Dong Seok (aka Don Lee), Kim Mu Yeol, Park Ji Hwan, and Lee Dong Hwi, along with director Heo Myung Haeng, are confirmed to be attending the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, scheduled from February 15-21, 2024.
They are set to participate in various events, from walking down the red carpet to presenting the world premiere screening of the movie and conducting a press conference.
The upcoming installment of the action franchise The Roundup, The Roundup: Punishment, is the first Korean installment film to be invited to the Berlin International Film Festival.
The Roundup: Punishment follows the story of detective Ma Seok Do (Don Lee), who fights against Baek Chang Ki (Kim Mu Yeol), a former mercenary leading a large-scale illegal online gambling organization, and IT genius Jang Dong Cheol (Lee Dong Hwi).
The Roundup: Punishment team attending the 74th Berlin International Film Festival will kick off the schedule with a photocall and press conference on February 23 (Friday) at 4:45 PM (local time).
Later on the same day, they will walk the red carpet at the Berlinale Palast. After greeting fans from around the world, Don Lee, Kim Mu Yeol, Park Ji Hwan, Lee Dong Hwi, and director Heo Myung Haeng will present the first screening of The Roundup: Punishment.
As this premiere screening is the first opportunity to watch The Roundup: Punishment before its official release, it is expected to attract significant attention from the media and prominent figures attending the festival.
Following its world premiere at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, The Roundup: Punishment is expected to hit local theatres sometime in the first half of 2024.
