Lee Joon Gi to possibly star in new Netflix production
Go Hyun Jung brings to life the character of a vicious serial killer in Queen Mantis.
Queen Mantis tells the story of Jung Yi Shin (Go Hyun Jung), the Mantis, a serial killer locked up in prison. When someone starts imitating her crime style, she starts working with her son Cha Su Yeol (Jang Dong Yoon), who has hated her his whole life, to catch the culprit.
Go Hyun Jung takes on the role of Jung Yi Shin, a serial killer who brutally murdered five men two decades ago and came to be known as Mantis.
In the newly released stills, Jung Yi Shin is seen in a prison uniform, locked behind cold iron bars. In another, her hands are tightly bound as she is escorted through the prison under the watchful eyes of guards. Pinned to her uniform is a bright red prisoner number, indicating that she is on death row.
Appearing detached, as if she's given up on the world, yet exuding an eerie vibe, Go's transformation, not just in appearance, but in expression and gaze, attests to her acting talent.
