Yoo Jae Myung to meet Kim Soo Hyun in a new Disney+ K-drama
GOT7's Park Jin Young and Roh Jeong Eui will reportedly lead the upcoming drama "The Witch."
On April 28th several media outlets shared that Park Jin Young and Roh Jeong Eui have been chosen to lead the webtoon-based drama.
Park Jin Young's agency BH Entertainment responded to the reports through media outlets Top Star News. The agency stated that it is true that Park Jin Young received the offer and he currently is positively reviewing it.
Roh Jeong Eui's agency also shared its side. Namoo Actors gave their answer to the media outlet Newsen. The company stated that Roh Jeong Eui did receive the offer and she is also positively reviewing it.
"The Witch" will base its story on the webtoon with the same name written by Kang Full. It will tell the story of a man who will fall in love with a woman who's labeled by everyone as a "Witch."
Park Jin Young got the offer to play the character named Lee Dong Jin. After graduating with a major in Statistics, he got hired at Shine Solutions as a data miner.
Roh Jeong Eui on the other hand received the offer to play as Mijeong, a girl who's always alone and in the center of rumors. She was a childhood memory of Lee Dong Jin, then one day the two meet again on a subway train.
After meeting Mijeong, Lee Dong Jin is now willing to give up everything just for Mijeong's life
"The Witch" will be directed by Kim Tae Gyun. The series is currently in discussion to air via the OTT platform. Filming of the drama will also begin soon.
If Park Jin Young accepts the offer, this will be his second upcoming drama. The idol-actor is set to star in "Yumi's Cells 2." He will also join the upcoming movies "A Christmas Carol" and "High Five." He last starred in the 2022 Netflix film "Yaksha: Ruthless Operations." Meanwhile, his group GOT7 will reportedly reunite and have a May comeback.
Meanwhile, this will possibly be Roh Jeong Eui's first upcoming drama for 2022. She is also part of the postponed KBS series "Dear.M."
