Na In Woo and Lee Se Young will reportedly work together for a new MBC K-drama!
Highlight's Son Dong Woon will be joining the upcoming drama "Today's Webtoon."
On June 7th, several media outlets shared that Son Dong Woon will be included in the upcoming drama "Today's Webtoon."
Son Dong Woon's agency Around Us Entertainment and SBS confirmed the reports and shared that the idol will be part of the drama as a webtoon writer.
"Today's Webtoon" will base its story on the Japanese drama "Juhan Shuttai!" (Sleepeeer Hit!). The story will unfold when a former judo player decided to enter the world of webtoon as a new career. The series will showcase the struggles of the people in the webtoon editorial department.
The upcoming drama will be the collaboration work of director Jo Soo Won ("Pinocchio" and "I Hear Your Voice") and writer Jo Hyun Joo.
Son Dong Woon will play the role of Oh Yoon, the superstar webtoon writer. He became popular after releasing works that showcase the everyday comedy in life. He also became more successful after he appeared in several tv shows.
The drama will be led by Kim Se Jeong, Nam Yoon Su, and Choi Daniel. Other casts include Ko Chang Seok, Jang Sung Yoon, and Kim Gab Soo.
"Today's Webtoon" will premiere on July 29th. It will be included in the Friday and Saturday drama timeslot of SBS. This drama will be the next series after "Why Her?"
"Today's Webtoon" will be the second drama of Son Dong Woon in his entire career. In 2021, he made his acting debut through the series "The Guys I Want to Catch." He worked alongside Teen Top's Niel, Pentagon's Jung Woo Seok, Victon's Lim Se Jun, and actor Kim Hyun Mok.
Last month, Son Dong Woon released his second mini-album called "Happy Birthday." He is currently busy with his solo promotions.
