Hwang Man Ik is joining the cast of the historical romance K-drama Joseon Attorney.
On March 13, it was officially confirmed that Hwang Man Ik will be added to the cast of the upcoming MBC K-drama. He will work closely with the main leads as he is part of the officials of the palace.
This will be his reunion work with director Kim Seung Ho. The two worked together for the past two K-dramas The Nokdu Flower and Sisyphus: The Myth.
Hwang Man Ik is considered of the most trusted actors that came from Daehak-ro. He is known for brilliantly portraying the characters through his acting skills. Aside from K-dramas, the actor is known for being part of the plays Screw Tape, Talk Talk, and Jekyll and Hyde.
Last year, the actor starred in the K-drama The King of Pigs with Kim Dong Wook, Kim Sung Gyu, Chae Jung An, Choi Hyun Jin, Sim Hyun Seo, and Lee Chan Yoo.
Hwang Man Ik made his small-screen debut in 2016. He has starred in several K-dramas such as Hororong Story, Voice Season 2, To All The Guys Who Loved Me, Love Scene Number, and more.
Joseon Attorney will be the latest work of directors Lee Han Joon and Kim Seung Ho, and scriptwriters Choi Jin Young, and Jung Ho Rak. It will be produced by People Story Company and One Content.
The upcoming series will showcase the story of a Joseon lawyer named Kang Han Su. He takes advantage of the other victims by defending them and putting on trial the people who are also his enemy. He will be the hero and the spokesperson of the people. He started doing it as revenge for killing his parents but eventually, he becomes mature and decided to become a just lawyer.
The upcoming K-drama will be led by Woo Do Hwan, WJSN's Bona, Cha Hak Yeon, Chun Ho Jin, Song Geon Hee, and Choi Hyun Jin.
Hwang Man Ik will play the role of Heo pan Yoon. He is the best official at Hanseong-bu. He is a sly character in the K-drama.
Joseon Attorney will air its first episode on March 31 at 9:50 PM KST. The upcoming K-drama will exclusively air on MBC.
