Pyramid Game depicts a cruel survival game in which the students are divided into perpetrators, victims, and bystanders in class 2–5 of Baekyeon Girls' High School by secret ballot, which takes place once a month.
The contrasting vibes of Baek Ha Rin (Jang Da A) and Myeong Ja Eun (Ryu Da In) in the stills pique curiosity about the hierarchy and dynamics between students of class 2–5.
The warm and radiant smile of Baek Ha Rin captures attention. She exudes elegance and grace, effortlessly grabbing the upper echelons of the Pyramid Game. However, a faint chill beneath her kind smile sparks curiosity about her hidden story.
On the other hand, the wary gaze of the F-grade student Myeong Ja Eun is equally intriguing. Her face covered with scars hints at the cruelty she faces as the lowest-ranking student in the Pyramid Game.
Myeong Ja Eun, who once kept everyone at arm's length, undergoes a change when she partners with the transfer student Sung Su Ji (Bona).
The mystery deepens as to why Myeong Ja Eun, who remains an F-grade and abstains from participating in the Pyramid Game, becomes a key player in Sung Su Ji's rebellion.
Jang Da A, who makes her acting debut with Pyramid Game, said, "Baek Ha Rin, who is always kind and classy, is a perfect child on the outside. I pondered a lot on how to express the emotions of Baek Ha Rin, who has a villainous nature different from her appearance." She continued, "I tried to express it [the character] in a way that harmonizes with the character from the original work to ensure that those who like the original can also feel engaged."
Ryu Da In commented, "Myeong Ja Eun is wary of others but loves people more than anyone else. I've heard people around me say she's like a stray black cat."
She also said, "I felt sorry for Myeong Ja Eun, who is lenient toward others but strict with herself. I endeavored to portray Myeong Ja Eun in a way that doesn't make her seem as just a pitiful character."
Pyramid Game will premiere on on February 29.
