Park Hae Soo in talks to reunite with Jeon Do Yeon in a new thriller mystery K-drama
Jang Dong Yoon will reportedly lead a new K-drama titled The Sand Flower (literal translation).
On February 24, media outlets reported that Jang Dong Yoon will be the main lead of the upcoming K-drama The Sand Flower.
Jang Dong Yoon's agency Dongyi Company stated the circulating casting reports. According to the agency, Jang Dong Yoon did receive the script but he hasn't confirmed yet. The actor is still reviewing the offer.
The Sand Flower is a romantic thriller that will focus on wrestling. It will tell the story of Kim Baek Du, a former Korean wrestling prodigy who's currently struggling in life. He will reunite with Oh Doo Sik who is a known female leader in the past.
The upcoming k-drama will be the next work of director Kim Jin Woo (A Model Family, Suits, and Queen of Mystery) and writer Won Yoo Jung (The Lies Within).
If Jang Dong Yoon confirms his casting, this will be his fifth upcoming k-drama. Next month, Jang Dong Yoon will make his grand comeback to the broadcast dramas with KBS' Oasis. He will be working with Seol In Ah, Choo Young Woo, Do Sang Woo, Hyun Seung Hee, and Park Noh Shik.
After this, he will also star in the upcoming series My Man Is Cupid, Daily Dose of Sunshine, and The Fairy and the Bald Idol.
Aside from numerous upcoming k-dramas, the actor will also join the upcoming films After and Long Distance.
Jang Dong Yoon made his acting debut in 2016. He has starred in numerous k-dramas such as Solomon's Perjury, School 2017, Mr. Sunshine, The Tale of Nokdu, Search, and more.
Last year, Jang Dong Yoon was seen in the watch original K-drama Daily Dose of Sunshine and the movie Project Wolf Hunting.
