The upcoming Disney+ K-drama Trigger is confirmed to premiere this year.
On February 27, Disney+ released the still cuts of the main leads of the upcoming K-drama Trigger. Through this, it was confirmed that Jung Sung Il and Joo Jong Hyuk will be joining top actress Kim Hye Soo in the series. It was also revealed that the K-drama will premiere on Disney+ in the second half of 2024.
Trigger is a comedy K-drama that revolves around an investigative reporting crew. It will focus on the team leader who is full of justice and a PD who is known to be an individualist. They will unveil the truth about the mysterious events.
The upcoming K-drama will be directed by Yoo Seon Dong (The Uncanny Counter and Bad and Crazy). It will be produced by KeyEast Entertainment.
Trigger will have a total of 12 episodes and it will exclusively premiere on Disney+ worldwide.
This will be the first Disney+ original K-drama of Kim Hye Soo. She will portray the role of Oh So Ryong in the series. She is the passionate team leader of the investigative reporting crew. She pursues cases and accidents that even the police or prosecution cannot solve.
Jung Sung Il on the other hand will portray the role of Han Do. He is known for not being sociable. He is a producer in the play. This will be his follow-up project after becoming more known through the hit Netflix K-drama The Glory.
Lastly, Joo Jung Hyuk will portray the role of Kang Ki Ho. He is the youngest PD on the team. This will be his first project for 2024. The rising actor will also star in the upcoming K-dramas No Secret, The Witch, and he will also reportedly return to the new season of Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2.
