In a show of respect for those affected by the recent Jeju Air flight disaster, the upcoming K-dramas Unmasked and Love Scout have decided to cancel next week's scheduled press conference.

On December 30m media outlets shared that both Disney+ and SBS have decided to postpone the press conference of their upcoming K-dramas. Unmasked starring Kim Hye Soo and Jung Sung Il, and Love Scout starring Han Ji Min and Lee Joon Hyuk were supposed to have their respective press conferences on January 3 to present their K-drama.

Although the K-drama's press conference was canceled, Disney+ confirmed that the airing date of Unmasked with proceed as scheduled. SBS hasn't released a statement regarding the airing date of Love Scout. 

 Yesterday, a devastating tragedy occurred at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla Province when Jeju Air Flight 7C2216, arriving from Bangkok, Thailand, crashed into the runway during landing, triggering a fire. The accident resulted in the tragic loss of 179 of the 181 passengers, leaving only two crew members alive. As a mark of respect for the victims, the government promptly designated January 4th as a national day of mourning.

The entertainment industry joins the nation in mourning the tragic loss of life in the Jeju Air flight disaster, with many broadcasts being canceled as a mark of respect.

Unmasked is a comedy K-drama that revolves around a team leader called Trigger, who will uncover the truth behind mysterious happenings and also help prevent their program from being canceled.

The K-drama will premiere on January 15. It will have a total of 12 episodes. The K-drama will exclusively air on Disney+. 

Meanwhile, Love Scout will showcase the romantic journey of a successful CEO, expert in her field but lacking personal life experience, and her secretary, a skilled single father adept at both parenting and housework. The K-drama will air on January 3 at 10 PM. It will air on SBS and the global streaming platform, Netflix.
