The upcoming K-movie The Roundup: Punishment has unveiled new stills featuring Baek Chang Ki (Kim Mu Yeol).
The Roundup: Punishment follows the story of detective Ma Seok Do (Ma Dong Seok, aka Don Lee), who fights against Baek Chang Ki (Kim Mu Yeol), a former mercenary leading a large-scale illegal online gambling organization, and IT genius Jang Dong Cheol (Lee Dong Hwi).
Baek Chang Ki is a former special forces mercenary, a character who unhesitatingly commits evil deeds for his own benefit. The stills portray the ruthlessness of the fourth-generation villain.
Actor Kim Mu Yeol, revealing he gained 10kg for his character, commented, "Since Baek Chang Ki wields a dagger and overthrows his opponents employing technique, I made efforts to build the kind of body suitable for the character rather than just gaining weight indiscriminately." He added, "One time, I had discussions with [other] actors and production staff for a whole day to [talk about how to] make Baek Chang Ki a powerful villain."
He further emphasized, "Baek Chang Ki is a character who puts actions before words, so he skillfully handles crises as they arise. You can expect great combat prowess from him."
The Roundup: Punishment will be released on April 24.
