Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Kim Young Dae will reportedly join the upcoming SBS drama "Why Oh Soo Jae?".
Media outlets reported that Kim Young Dae got the offer to paly the lead role for the upcoming romance drama "Why Oh Soo Jae".
His agency Outer Korea responded on April 2 that Kim Young Dae did receive the offer and he is currently reviewing it. Nothing has been confirmed.
"Why Oh Soo Jae?" will be helmed by director Park Soo Jin ("While You Were Sleeping") and writer Kim Ji Eun ("Lie After Lie"). The drama will reveal the romance between a law school professor and her student. Top actress Seo Hyun Jin already confirmed her casting last December 2020. She will play the role of Oh Soo Jae, a bad tempered and cruel professor.
Kim Young Dae made his acting debut in 2018. He appeared in several web dramas and play supporting roles on television dramas. He's also known for being part of the cast of the 2019 drama "Extraordinary You" with Kim Hye Yoon, SF9's Ro Woon, Lee Jae Wook, and April's Lee Na Eun. He got more recognition after appearing in the hit drama "The Penthouse: War in Life". In 2021, he will star in the second and third season of "The Penthouse 3 : War in Life", "School 2021", and "The Gentleman and the Lady". If he accepts the offer for "Why Oh Soo Jae?", this will be his 5th drama for the year.
Meanwhile, this year will be Seo Hyun Jin's return to romance dramas. She last appeared in the tvN school drama "Black Dog" with actress Ra Mi Ran. She will also star in the upcoming drama "You Are My Spring" with Kim Dong Wook, Yoon Park, and Nam Gyu Ri.
