According to the Netflix TOP10 rankings released on the 5th, JTBC's weekend drama King the Land secured first place in the global TOP10 non-English section from June 26th to July 2nd, based on viewership data.

During this period, King the Land garnered 4 million views and 24.5 million viewing hours on Netflix. The drama's viewing hours increased by 7 million compared to the previous week, surpassing 17.5 million viewing hours, and rose to the top from its second-place position last week.

Moreover, King the Land also claimed the top spot in the viewing rankings in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Singapore. Additionally, it made it into the TOP10 rankings in 31 countries, including Japan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Greece, Romania, Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, and more.

King the Land reached 5th in the worldwide viewing rankings on Netflix, including English-speaking regions, within just one day on the 4th.

King the Land tells the story of Gu Won (played by Lee Jun Ho), a man who disdains laughter, and Cheon Sa Rang (played by Im Yoon Ah), a smiling queen who must always smile, as they create a day where they can genuinely laugh at the VVIP lounge, 'King the Land,' a dream place for hoteliers. The drama, which humorously unravels the essence of romance, surpassed a viewership rating of 10% in Korea within six episodes, reaching a record of 12%. It has also gained popularity as a global hit.

Furthermore, King the Land has dominated the TV-OTT integrated attention-grabbing drama category, taking first place for two consecutive weeks. According to a survey conducted by Good Data Corporation, a specialized institution for analyzing the competitiveness of K-content platforms, King the Land experienced a 58.8% increase in attention-grabbing scores compared to the previous week.

In terms of individual attention-grabbing, Lee Jun Ho claimed the top spot in the first week, followed by Im Yoon Ah in the second week, and now Lee Jun-ho has reclaimed the top position this week, consistently seizing the audience's attention.

In particular, the dating rumors surrounding Lee Jun Ho and Im Yoon Ah that surfaced on the 3rd also generated promotional effects for King the Land. Lee Jun Ho's side clarified, "The two are close friends, but the dating rumors are baseless," while Im Yoon Ah's side also officially stated, "They are just very close, and the dating rumors are not true," resolving the incident as a happening.
