The TVING original series Death's Game dropped stills featuring Lee Jae Wook, who plays the role of Cho Tae Sang.
Cho Tae Sang used to be an aspiring martial artist who gave up on his childhood dream due to the impoverished conditions of his household. Living aimlessly, he awaits his release after being imprisoned for some reason.
The released photos depict Cho Tae Sang exuding a calm demeanor within the prison. Even among the numerous prisoners, he does not have any shred of fear. It raises the question of whether Cho Tae Sang can survive in the harsh environment and be released unscathed.
Interestingly, Lee Jae Wook reportedly performed most of the 8-on-1 prison fight scenes himself. His preparation at an action school before filming allowed him to tackle a majority of action sequences, including fight scenes, without a stunt double, showcasing his dedication and passion.
Besides action, Lee Jae Wook is expected to portray the emotional depth of his character in Death's Game. With the harsh prison as the backdrop, viewers will also see moments capturing him shedding tears after removing the prisoner's uniform.
The production team of the K-drama stated, "As fight scenes heavily rely on the collaboration between actors, Lee Jae Wook went through extensive practice for each scene before filming." They added, "He meticulously synchronized the details of every hand and foot movement to portray the character. The production crew on site were all amazed as they watched him perform without any problems."
Death's Game will premiere on December 15. Global audiences can stream the K-drama on Prime Video.
