Sol Kyung Gu and Hong Kyung will possibly lead a new film
Lee Shin Young is in talks to join the upcoming third season of "Dr. Romantic."
According to the media outlet OSEN on October 24th, Lee Shin Young will be the new character in the upcoming drama "Dr. Romantic 3." It was also reported that the third season casts planned to have a script reading today.
Lee Shin Young got the offer to play the role of the youngest doctor at Doldam Hospital. The actor will reveal a doctor's charm with the MZ generation's characteristics.
If Lee Shin Young confirms his casting, he will be joining Han Seok Kyu, Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Sung Kyung, and Kim Joo Heon.
This will possibly be Lee Shin Young's first time portraying a doctor role. The actor became more known after starring in the 2019 hit drama "Crash Landing on You." Since then, he has led different genres of dramas.
Lee Shin Young was last seen in the 2022 Disney+ drama "Rookie Cops." Next year, the actor will lead the series "Boss-dol Mart" with EXO's Xiumin, MONSTA X's Hyung Won, Choi Jung Woon, Choi Won Myung, and Lee Sae On. He will also make his big screen debut through the film "Rebound" with Ahn Jae Hong, Kim Min, Kim Do Wan, Jung Gun Joo, and Kim Taek.
If Lee Shin Young confirms his casting, this will be his second drama for 2023.
"Dr. Romantic 3" will be the latest work of director Yoo In Shik and writer Kang Eun Kyung. The series will be produced by Samhwa Networks.
The third season will continue to showcase the story of Kim Sa Bu and the doctors, and the people they meet through Doldam Hospital, a humble hospital in the countryside.
According to reports, "Dr. Romantic 3" will premiere in the first half of 2023.
