The K-movie Sleep, directed by Yoo Jae Sun, which is garnering high expectations as this year's most unique thriller, has been officially invited to the Fantastic Fest 2023.

Previously, Sleep has been invited to Cannes International Film Festival, Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival, and now, to the Fantastic Fest.

Taking place from the 21st to the 28th of September in Austin, North America, Fantastic Fest is renowned as the largest genre film festival in the United States, dedicated to exploring and appreciating well-made fantasy, horror, science fiction, and action films from around the world.
Admired for its distinctive flair and artistic sensibilities, Sleep has been invited to Fantastic Fest.

Annick Mahnert, the Fantastic Fest programmer, revealed the reason for the invitation stating, "Sleep is a thrilling film that delves into the horrors of sleep disorders, highlighting the mystery and suspense that the film, with its unique theme of sleepwalking, is expected to deliver".

Sleep tells a story of a newlywed couple, Hyun Soo (Lee Sun Kyun) and Soo Jin (Jung Yu Mi), whose world is turned upside down by Hyun Soo's strange behavior when he falls asleep.

Fans and cinephiles can look forward to the theatrical release of Sleep on September 6th.
