TWICE's Kim Da Hyun confirmed to make her acting debut!
Aside from Park Eun Bin, more casts are confirmed to join the upcoming romantic comedy K-drama Diva of the Deserted Island.
On March 10, it was officially confirmed that Chae Jong Hyeop and Kim Hyo Jin will be part of the upcoming K-drama Diva of the Deserted Island. On the same day, it was also revealed that Kim Joo Heon and Lee Re are also in positive discussions to be part of the upcoming series.
Lee Re's side responded to the casting reports. According to CJES Entertainment, the actress is confirmed to join the K-drama and will play the role of the younger version of Park Eun Bin's character. Meanwhile, Kim Joo Heon's side hasn't given their official statement yet.
Diva of the Deserted Island will narrate the story of a woman who got stuck on an uninhabited island while trying to attend an audition in Seoul. 15 years later, she got rescued and decided to still pursue her dream and challenge herself in becoming a diva.
The romantic K-drama will be directed by Oh Choong Hwan and written by Park Hye Ryun. The same team that worked on the popular K-dramas Start-Up and While You Were Sleeping.
Diva of the Deserted Island will begin in the first half of 2023 and will reportedly air in the same year.
Chae Jong Hyeop is confirmed to play the role of Bo Gyeol. He is a producer at a broadcasting station. He is in charge of the music and entertainment programs. While volunteering, he accidentally found and rescued Seo Mok Ha who has been stuck on an island for 15 years.
Kim Hyo Jin will portray the role of Yoon Ran Joo, a superstar whose fame is currently declining. After meeting Seo Mok Ha who's an avid fan, she will rekindle her forgotten dream.
Kim Joo Heon got the offer to play the role of Lee Seo Jun. There are no specific details yet about his character. This will possibly be his reunion work with Park Eun Bin. The actor made a special cameo appearance in Park Eun Bin's hit K-drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
Lastly, Lee Re will portray the role of Seo Mok Ha in her teenage days. She will play the younger version of Park Eun Bin's character.
Aside from them, VIXX's Cha Hak Yeon was also reported to be joining the upcoming K-drama.
