Lee Joo Bin confirms her next work after "Queen of Tears"
VIXX's Cha Hak Yeon will join Park Eun Bin and Chae Jong Hyeop in the romantic comedy K-drama Diva of the Deserted Island.
On March 9, media outlets revealed that Cha Hak Yeon will be added to the cast of the upcoming K-drama Diva of the Deserted Island. The script reading of the series already happened on March 8.
Cha Hak Yeon's agency confirmed the reports through the media outlet OSEN. According to 51K Entertainment, "Cha Hak Yeon will be starring in the upcoming K-drama Diva of the Deserted Island. He was also present in the script reading that happened yesterday."
This will be one of the upcoming projects of the idol actor for the year. He will also join the upcoming K-drama Joseon Attorney with Woo Do Hwan, WJSN's Bona, Chun Ho Jin, Song Geon Hee, and Choi Hyun Jin.
Cha Hak Yeon is also set to make his movie debut through the film Midnight Sun wherein he will work alongside Jung Ji So, Kim Sang Ho, and Jin Kyung.
Currently, Cha Hak Yeon is busy filming for Joseon Attorney which will premiere later this month.
Diva of the Deserted Island will be the next collaboration work of director Oh Choong Hwan and writer Park Hye Ryun. The two are known for creating the hit K-dramas Start-Up and While You Were Sleeping.
The upcoming series will revolve around a woman stranded on an uninhabited island while chasing her dreams and attending an audition in Seoul. After 15 years, she finally got rescued and there, she will challenge herself once again in becoming a diva.
There are no details yet on the character that Cha Hak Yeon will portray. Meanwhile, Park Eun Bin will play the role of Seo Mok Ha, the woman who's dreaming of becoming a diva but got stuck on an uninhabited island.
Many are already anticipating this upcoming K-drama. Aside from the collaboration of hitmaker director and writer, this will be Park Eun Bin's follow-up project to her 2022 hit ENA K-drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
According to reports, Diva of the Deserted Island is scheduled to premiere this year.
